You have to be memorable. Asking her how she is doing is not memorable. As for your current situation, since you are already in it, I would advise not even replying to that text, and then texting her when you have something better, such as you two getting together! Although you haven't given any details as to how you two met, etc, so proper advice would need that sort of background.
