How to pick up girls when you don't speak their language?

Dear All,

I am currently working on a project in Tokyo, Japan for 4 months.
Usually, Japanese girls are very interested in foreigners, but all
they can say in English comes down to about 10 - 20 phrases (Name, age,
what they do etc). They usually try at the beginning, but after 10
mins it can become quite frustrating and also they are upset cause
both of us are unable to communicate. For me, I don't speak any
Japanese either and won't have a chance to learn it within the next 3
months. So, in an nutshell: How to pick up girls that are generally interested, but you don't speak their language at all (and vice versa)?

Usually when you go to clubs - where all the communication is mostly
non-verbal - it works quite well. Yet I found, by far the hottest women
I see during the day, shopping, going for coffee or hanging out. Also,
it is always the same type of girls that go the clubs, the rather
slutty ones, which aren't always my favorites. So how would you
approach them? I am very curious about your inputs!

Many thanks in advance!

I don't know, I never done it..

I'd just speak to them in English and lead them on. It be funny when you take her to a bar then have to tell her to get you a drink. I don't know how it would go buy in my mind right now I see no limit to kino.

Use different hand/body motions and stuff to communicate what it is you want to communicate. Teach them some english, just be really basic when your in set like point to an item say what it is slowly and motion for them to repeat, if you just relax and chill its pretty fun and funny. I'd also get yourself a english-to japanese and a japanese to english dictionary/phrase book and take them both around with you, then when your talking you can flip through that and point at words and she can see what you mean since it'll have her translation and you can hand her the jap-eng dictionary so she can find words and show you. Its a slow process at first but if things stick you'll both improve at each others language. This also makes sex easy since you just invite her over, you sit on your bed and practice talking to each other with those books out, then after your both tired of it (can take a lot of brain power) you just take a sex break :)

This will be great practice for you because now you can focus mainly on your non-verbals. Personally I've only done this ONCE.

But some non-verbal things are...
- Body Language
- Facial Expression
- Being Expressive
- Good Vocal Projection
- Being In the moment
- Having Strong Frame
- Kino Escalation
- Energy Level

Yes just those alone and you can just talk gibberish.

In my experience I was bring the party lol, and as I walked downstairs in the club some chick opens me talking some language, I bust a huge smile and give her a hug and then we walk to the back room where people are lounging. We start escalating on the couch and made out. It was about 5mins all togehter.

Note - I did have social proof because prior I had jumpped on a booth and was dancing with 2 chicks on top, then I started bringing the party and had about 10 people just screaming and dancing. I also was peacocked...(White Blazer, shoes, designer jeans, etc) so that also played a factor.

Haven't gone to a country where I didn't know the language YET.

Learn a couple of wacky phrases that don't make much sense to get a giggle out of them. It's a good ice breaker if you say something like "I want to have arms like two legs of ham" or simply "I like eating pineapple very much". You can just blame your poor Japanese if they think you're a mental.

When I'm in another country where I'm not familiar with the language I rely on a pad, a pencil and my cartoon-like, artistic talent. You'd be surprised at just how much two people can communicate through drawings. It's also a good way to build rapport and transfer into a mutually comfortable place. Never underestimate the skills you could learn from playing Pictionary.

Ha! Yeah, totally. I forgot about drawing pictures.
This works really well. I've kept conversations going for hours on broken English and drawing pictures on a piece of paper.

Thanks

Thanks guys, some of the tipps are really helpful!
I decided to view this also as great training in non-verbal communication, so let's see where it leads..
So far, 1 down, 129,999,999 to go ;-)

have fun dude :)

I always thought it was easier to mack on girls who couldn't speak english. it's like the whole convo becomes retarded in a fun kind of way. And since the interaction is based more on non-verbals instead of verbally sparring, it's easier to feel the vibe
