How to open up an email account with a university

Thing is I've been waiting forever to hear from my university(University of Minnesota) and I was wondering how to open an account with a unversity even though I'm not a student there.

I don't know if this sounds stupid, but if you are NOT a student from the university, you simply can NOT have an email account from the university. Simple logic. It's not hotmail or yahoo you know...:nono:

In theory you CAN'T, unless you're friends with a sys admin that can give you an e-mail address.

So Mus, are you a student at UofM? If you are, I suggest you talk to the IT folks and they'll hook you up.

If you're about to start attending there, you usually don't get your email address until orientation.
