Haha, I'm lucky to get a year out of a good pair of white shoes, and that's IF I wash them and apply whitener and conditioner occasionally. Discoloration isn't the only problem either... all the walking I do at college means shoes start showing wear and tear before you know it.

I agree that you get what you pay for, but you're not going to catch me in Abercrombie or some other clothing store at the mall paying 500% of what the item is really worth. If I can find the same exact shirts on Ebay or in some place where they are gently used, I will buy them there and save BIG. I buy my pants at Kohl's usually because I can find jeans/khakis there that look just as good as anything from somewhere else more expensive. I have actually bought RL wholesale, and let me tell you, the retail price is nowhere NEAR what the shirts actually cost to make, and this is usually the case. I am also very aware that many of the "name-brand" items on Ebay are fakes, but I care not... if it fits me and looks real, and I paid very little for it, fine by me.

sometimes u get wat u pay for..

some **** is way overpriced

and i agree with the statement about knowing HOW to wear your clothes

my friend wears alot of RL polos but he doesnt look any better than the guy wearing $10 polos

i used to get compliments from girls for how i dressed. even white girls told me i looked good, and im an asian guy. this one gurl told me "u know u have the best dress sense in the whole school, u can make nethin look good"

and recently i started buying higher priced stuff and i get alot more compliments. if you can wear your clothes, and u also buy high priced clothing, it makes a very good combination

I think the number one tip you can pick up from this forum re: style is to have your own. Clothing should be an extension of your personality, so people can get a bearing on you before you ever open your mouth. So if you want to appear interesting to people, dress interesting.
