What helps me jump back on track is the question:
Why did I start?

I was first going to ask why you stopped, but honestly, it does not matter.

The problem right now is you lost your MOMENTUM. You were working hard on this project. Right at this moment, you probably are not. So getting started again SEEMS difficult because of inertia.

The good news is that you can get your momentum back, but it won't happen instantly. You need to take some "baby steps" to get moving again.

Think about what you have to do (or write it down if it helps) and pick the EASIEST and hopefully the MOST ENJOYABLE (or least painful lol) part of the project. I'm sure there is at least one small, easy portion of the project that you can do in 5 to 30 minutes. Even if it's just the BEGINNING of a MUCH larger task, that is ok.

Pick that one item and do it for fun. After you complete that, your confidence will be higher. Then you can do something else. Little by little, your momentum will come back.

Gaining momentum is critical for all areas of life, whether it's work, fitness, pickup, etc.

For example, in university/college, let's say that the professor hands out a difficult exam. Give it a quick look and start with the easiest question first. With the slight confidence boost it gives you, you can then move on to longer, more difficult questions.

Or when a guy walks into a bar/club and he has really bad approach anxiety, he should start SOMEWHERE. Approach a less attractive girl, or talk to dudes or talk to the bartender. Once he gets more into a social state and gets that momentum, then he can move on to more difficult approaches.

Quit looking at porn, and progressively exercise every day. That's guaranteed to get you back on track.
