im 22 yrs old and m around 58 kgs. i am 5' 10" long. i dont look like a rake but im damn skinny or thin in a better way. well, to be honest, i do a job, so going to a gym 3-4 times a week would be too much for me because i have life absolutely full at the moment. i just do pushups and light stretches at the moment but that too irregularly. could u guys give me a plan to increase my weight a bit? just put urself in my shoes a bit and think if u work like 9-hrs a day from a shift of 12.30 pm to 9.30 pm, how would u go about it?
Just don't train, stay fit and healthy, eat a good diet and do the odd bit of cardio and circuit weights when you can. Bodybuilding is a huge commitment, it's not for everybody, most who bodybuild don't even have good physiques 2-3 years down the line so don't worry too much.

schttrj, like I said, you need to CHOOSE what type of physique you want. At your height at 5'10, and 128lbs, you have a LOT of work to do. I am 5" shorter than you and still weigh more. Most people who bodybuild whether amateur or pro, are rarely that tall anyway, because you have to have so much mass to look good.

Now I know you are no bodybuilder, but even if you want a decent chiseled physique at that height, you are going to need to put on some major poundage. I mean 25-30lbs minimum. It is much harder when you get taller.

Not everyone is cut out to do this, and you may or may not be. But if you are lazy, you might as well throw the towel in, because it will take you YEARS and YEARS to get even half that weight on you with laziness.

This lifestyle is a HUGE commitment as stated above. Some of us it is our lifestyle, and this is what we do. I just got done eating 1/2c oatmeal with 2Tbsp Peanut butter in it, 2Tbsp whey isolate, some raisins, honey, and cinnamon. Most people would go... YUCK that's disgusting. We also dont eat like the rest of the population, and that is probably more important IMHO than training.

So its not easy. Now i'm not saying you CANT do it, i'm saying that if you dont have an open mind and aren't prepared for what you have to do to get there, you will only frustrate yourself.

Not everyone is cut out for this, just like not everyone is cut out to be an NFL player or basketball player or what ever it is you want to put in there.
