How to hookup in parties?

Just wondering how do you guys hook up w/ girls in parties. Especially the ones you don't know.

I have no idea how all this goes.

Uhh...it all starts with talking to them. Create attration, isolate, make a move. The same as going on a date, just an accelerated process with mass alcohol consumption.

Thing is i've never actually hooked up with anyone in a party before so I'm absolutely clueless. Going around asking people for opinion's wouldn't be a great idea either.

I go to these parties all the time and when I arrive a couple of people are already hooking up (making out, kissing, some even having sex) and I just don't know how it got there. I mean these people are from different schools.
