Get a stable job that can financially support multiple people at once, buy new fashionable clothes, drive a nice car, find a hobby and be passionate about it, workout in the gym, etc
He's a college kid. The rules aren't the same as in the real world. That's why "frat boy" types tend to suck in bars/clubs: the Game they learned worked in college, but doesn't work outside it.
In college, girls are much more interested in status and having "exciting" experiences. Have a plan for each.
Status: get to a gym. Be in the cool frat. Be a leader (read: main party planner) in your frat.
Exciting experiences: throw crazy parties. Do crazy things at parties, so that you get a reputation as an "exciting" guy. And ESCALATE. QUICKLY.
Hobbies/travel/interesting thoughts are great when you want to date a chick. Most college chicks don't want to date. Ergo, they're good for you long term, but they aren't likely to help you much short-term.
