I'm 5"10 and 135lbs.

One of my goals is to get upto 160lbs, still a long way to go.

The problem is, even though i've gained weight, a lot of it is fat.

I wouldn't have even noticed that i've gained fat because my abs look better than they did before i gained the weight, but my trousers beg to differ.

I can only wear 1 pair of school trousers now, as they are the only ones that fit me, all the others are too tight. Lots of my jeans are starting to feel a little snug around the waist aswel.

I need to get rid of this excess podge because my clothes jut arent fitting.

Im not looking to lose too much, as im still trying to bulk, but enough for my school trousers to fit again, how would i go about doing this? I'm thinking HIIT, but i'd like others opinions

135lbs any fat that you have will be a saving grace to prevent you from looking like a skeleton! my advice is to wise up and keeping eating big!

I know im skinny. Its not that i want to lose the fat, its that i have to. School clothes cost money - money that i havent got.

I dont want to wear just one pair of school trousers for the rest of the year, thats why i bought more than one pair.

I asked for advice on how to lose fat.

well if you want to get up to 160lbs you are going to need to get new clothes anyway! however, if you do insist losing weight then would guess it wouldnt be too hard given your stats and age! just cut down on the calories (particularly carbs) and up the cardio! but you will compromise your muscle gain, which imo is not a good idea

How to get rid of the excess fat?

My recommendation for losing fat is always to emulate what fighters do. Intense cardio plus a diet of mostly lean protein and vegetables. This is not difficult in theory, but most people lack the internal fortitude to actually do it.

Some of my diet is discussed here is you are looking for more specifics.

fwiw, I am currently having the opposite problem as you - all of my pants are falling off. It was not always this way; I've been flabby and out of shape for much of my life.

wow 5'10 and 135...and saying it's all fat and no muscle? That adds up to no muscle, not necessarily all fat. So i say just eat big and lift big.
