How to deal with this situation

As you probably sense from the tone of this message, this isn't a life-or-death situation. I"ve come to the point in my life at 22, where I know that 1 girl who you just met isn't the beginning or end of your life. Well, I met this pretty girl at church with a great personality and we share common interests. Well, she was getting red in the face and smiling, all the signals of attraction were there. I didn't have a pen, paper, or phone on me....oh well, so I asked her if she did....Well, she goes on to say that she's old fashioned and implied she likes the guy to call. Yada, yada, yada, I tell her, "Look, how about I give you my # and you call me when we leave her, so that we can do this the old fashioned way". I have no problem with that at all....She agrees...more attraction ensues and we make definite (in my mind plans) to go dancing on this Saturday night at 8:00. She hasn't called me. I'm thinking she just got really nervous or that it would be more painful for her to go against her "internal rules" and do the calling...than for her to see me at church next Sunday and cause awkwardness. It won't be awkward for me, but I'm thinking it will be for her, I could care less. I know that any number of a bunch of things could have happened....she might have not saved my #.....yes, changed her mind....who knows...
I don't care even to speculate what she's thinking, why she hasn't called me....that's a waste of time. All I need to know is the best way to deal with this situation.....as to raise her level of respect for me, but more importantly that I give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, and you guys might disagree, but from the hour or so I met with her, she showed herself to be quite a quality girl.....

You take down her number and you give her a call and you set up the date, simple.

Hmmmm, I don't know how to answer your question, my 'over-analysis' button keeps beeping, though. Stupid thing wasn't described correctly in the manual or something ... Ohh, wait, nevermind, my 'get off of your lazy passive butt and call her' button has now started flashing.

I guess that means you should 'get off of your lazy passive and over-analyzing butt' and call her.

This is one of the reasons I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have a pen and business cards on me. There were so many times when I first started out that I almost lost the opportunity to close on getting a number because I had to scrounge a pen from a buddy, the waitress, etc.

The Fisher Space Bullet pen is small, relatively cheap and can slip into a pocket unobtrusively. Also looks nice and I have gotten several compliments on it.

Local numbers aren't that hard to memorize. If she's from near you, u just have to remember the last 4 digits anyway.

Thanks guys, I would have called her because #1, I'm not a passive guy. As you recall, I didn't have paper or pen or my cell on me. But, she called on Friday and everything was cool. The conversation went really well, but she's out of town this weekend. But thanks.
