How to deal with shy girls...??

There is this girl who I just recently met. During class I always see her eye'ing me a lot and I do the same to her, but she quickly looks away. I go up to talk to her after class ends and try to start a conversation, but only answers with short answers. Even when she COULD say more...she always says "I don't know". For example, I know she dances so I ask her questions about her dancing, and she says things like " I like to dance, but not so much and I don't know" then acts like she is texting or reading a paper. She never tries to keep a conversation going, until a friend of hers comes along. When it is just me and her, shes quiet, but when a friend of hers joins in, she opens up more and talks to me more. Anyone experienced with shy girls...what can I do?? Are all shy girls like this..do they avoid talking to the guy they like?

Do whatever gets her to open up more to you. Its all about creating a comfort level between the two of you. Shes shy because she feels uncomfortable being in a 1 on 1 convo with someone shes interested in. When her friend comes along though, she has someone to relate to and someone she is more comfortable with, thus she opens up more. In these situations, you really gotta try to get good conversations going and develop a comfort level between the TWO of you. Then move on from there.

And just for the record, I almost always next shy girls like this. In my opinion, theyre just not worth my time and effort to try "breaking their shells", especially since you never know how long that could take.

What if we txt each other for about 2 minutes, have a conversation while txting then she suddenly stops and doesnt reply back anymore. Then when i call her about 2 times, she doesn't pick up?? Is she nervous about only us TWO talking, or she just not interested?

maybe she got disconnected hence why she stopped responding...and maybe she is busy at the times you are calling her, bottom line is you are OVER-ANALYSING this whole thing, don't take it too seriously dude.
