How to deactivate your account
  1. Click the downward arrow at the top right of any Facebook page.
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Click "Security" in the left column.
  4. Choose "Deactivate your account", then follow the steps to confirm.
I just did this and feel great! You don't lose all your info but nobody can find you anymore.

I thought about it myself... I mean anyone who is a true friend of mine, we talk on the phone or actually get together. But I got some old friends and family that like to use it so I keep my account. I just dont use it much.

Some a-hole friend of a friend was a Trump supporter and the most offensive to Hillary supporters, but the moment I talked about the Federal Reserve being run by Jewish banksters, he had a conniption. You never saw anyone more angry. I love when people use the term Anti-Semite (and they are Semite). If you don't like Irish people like me, they call you Smart.

If you need a special word to defame people who don't like you, a lot of people don't like you.

Hahaha I'd say to take it a step further and delete all social media in general. Some people seem really cool when you chat with them online, but then when you talk to them in person they're awkward as hell. I felt like I was almost starting to et that way and it freaked me out so I just deleted it. Never looked back. There's far too many 'intellectuals' for my liking, and plus I was about to become really crude on there. Now I occasionally just go on YouTube and comment some really politically incorrect stuff just to trigger the leftist progtards just because it's hilarious to see how they react because they think they're so smart talking about the issues that the government wants them to talk about (see: Operation Mockingbird) instead of the stuff that the government is hiding (e.g, MKUltra, MKDelta, MKNaomi, Optic Nerve, ECHELON, DEA saying they don't have to report to Congress, government supervisors lacking the power to fire the agents they hired, the child trafficking ring that Hillary, Weiner, and Abedin are apart of, etc. )

But hey, fuck those idiots who think they know more. Let them die for a cause that is destroying themselves.

LinkedIn is essential for my career, but I'm two weeks Facebook free and feeling great!

Did it a year and a half ago, haven't looked back since. I keep in touch with those that matter.

On the flipside, if you've done it to hope to spend your time in more productive ways, it's easy to find other ways to waste time on your phone. Just be mindful of that.

Yea I got rid of Facebook like a year ago. It was great. At first, almost out of pure habit I would keep going to website, but after awhile that stopped. I opened up another account on facebook with one friend for mainly dating apps if feel like using them and easy to sign up to fantasy football or whatever. My friends still try re friend me but I just dont accept or delete them because I rarely go on and if do....I dont have time to be adding and deleting people
