There's a popular web video series called, "Simple Pickup" that I encourage EVERYONE to watch. The videos are made to be entertaining and the creators aren't hawking a product, but they successfully manage to strip away the non-essential elements of pickup in a way that no PUA guru has achieved.

Now, you may notice that this goes against the old Mystery Method model of pickup, which states that you must "flip the script" and make the girl chase YOU, through the use of false disqualifiers, IODs, etc. The guys state their intent immediately and pursue relentlessly- at no point does the girl "chase" them. However, they still manage to succeed. Why? Because, quite frankly, "flipping the script" and pretending that the girl is hitting on YOU is good for laughs, but that's about it. It certainly isn't necessary, and may in fact HINDER your pickups.
MEN are sexually aggressive. WOMEN are sexually receptive. So, even if you're throwing out false disqualifiers and pretending that she's hitting on you, she KNOWS that you want to have sex with her.
In the video (which is condensed quite a bit), you will see a MUCH MORE efficient model of pickup- which is to come on strong, handle "rejections" with confidence, and ultimately win the girl over. I put "rejections" in quotes because they're not really "rejections"- just tests. When you see the girl in the video laughing and saying "No! I'm not kissing you!" it's actually a sign of interest- she was testing the guy to see how confident he actually was. If it was a REAL rejection, she would've RAN AWAY. When girls want to reject you, they LEAVE. If a girl won't kiss you but is still having fun with you and laughing, it's ON. [Note: Use your head on this one- getting a firm "no" ACTUALLY means no.]
In the end, these guys succeeded because they kept a strong frame and were FUN- everything they said and did triggered exciting emotions for the girl. They weren't creepy, because they respected the girls' boundaries, and they weren't weird, because they were blatantly hitting on them, instead of concealing their intentions with weird routines and gimmicks. If you can strike this balance correctly, you will build MASSIVE attraction very fast.
The difficult part for many is in understanding that super fast escalation REQUIRES that you will be "rejected" several times before you succeed. Girls are FORCED to slow things down when you come on strong; however, all you need to do is back off for a bit, say some witty things, and then resume escalation. The way to LOSE the set is by allowing the fake rejection to actually RATTLE you ("she turned her head! she must not think I'm good looking enough..."). If she senses this, it is a MASSIVE incongruity that signals to her that you are NEEDY, and not confident. This will destroy ANY attraction you have built instantly, and shows that you don't understand the "chase."
The two guys in the dark shirts were the most socially calibrated; the guy in the white shirt was a little TOO pushy and grab-y. Even so, he managed to succeed in the end.
You may think that pursuing a girl this relentlessly violates the "PRIZE" mentality, but in actually it AFFIRMS it, because you need to have seriously high self esteem to put yourself out there like this and simply take what you want.
Of course, Mystery Method remains a good choice for guys that are terrified of talking to girls, because it provides the PUA with lots of validation. However, actually pursuing girls is MUCH simpler and will give you WAY better results.
