I forget which articles talk about this but I don't remember them saying anything about how to control them.
I know a few things.
For Anxiety/fear/worry
Nothing life has to offer is worth worrying about. - Think and Grow Rich
1. Find out what's scaring you/making feel anxious or worried.
2. State the worse that could happen.
3. Accept the worse that can happen.
In the worst of cases I've found that saying something along the lines of "I'm going to die" helps. If you think about being on your death bed for a second it puts things into perspective.
Will Power/Motivation
Motivation comes from a desire to do something. If you don't have a reason to do something, then your not going to be motivated. So finding reasons to keep going or looking at pictures of stuff I want in life (like nice cars, etc.) helps.
Confidence
There's a ton of crap on this site about confidence. I've found that writing out sentences like "I love myself" or other positive stuff like that a hundred times helps a great deal.
Sadness
I've found that short-term fixes don't work too well. Stuff like watching TV, playing video games, or other "fun" but ultimately pointless stuff doesn't make me feel all that much better for long.
Working out or exercising definitely helps.
Anger
I haven't thought up anything on this subject and I really ought to.
Anyone got anything to add because this isn't good enough and there are other feelings like jealousy that are hard to deal with.
One of the hardest things I've tried to overcome is the desire to seek approval from people.
In order to help break this crap I called a stranger an ******* as I drove by in my car. Technically, it's a simple thing to do but I found it extremely difficult not because it was a lame thing to do to the guy but because I was afraid. I was afraid of him getting mad at me even though I'm never going to see him again in my life. That's just dumb. I went through with it and I actually felt pretty good which was kind of weird.
The more I learn about myself the more pissed I am that I have to relearn how to react to things. I wish parents would teach there kids how to be adults.
