The main thing I love about this site is how you can find textbook examples of relationships at all points. I have this site to thank for helping me through quite a few tough spots. Reading exactly what is happening to me makes it seem much less severe.

I too had a relationship beginning at the top of my game, also lasting for 2 years. We broke up once, then had the awkward fvck buddy scenario until she convinced me to come back to her. Throughout the course my dj skills slowly fell to AFC levels. Though she was one of the most awesome people I ever met, I decided I wanted to be single again. She has been clawing like a wolverine to get me back. And here we are now.

Having been through a breakup before I know it will get better as time goes on. Currently I do feel like maybe I made a mistake. I worry about how much she cries whines, etc. It is going to be tough, but fear not! We are not alone in these scenarios. Life will go on.

That's exactly what I needed to hear. Glad to see other people going through the same situations. Thank you for sharing that.

This is actually my first breakup of any sort, since I've never had a long term GF before. It's both a learning experience and a torment. Makes me think that timing is everything in relationships.

One thing I tell myself is that everything is changing in the world we're living in. The girlfriends or object of interest in our lives change all the time. The only constant is ourselves. The only thing that we rely on, be happy about, and worry about should be ourselves. As long we keep improving ourselves the world will eventually change itself for the better.
