Dear? I'm not your dear. You sound like the fat neighbor next door that doesn't get any. Probably some lonely old woman who calls herself mysterious because she doesn't see the light of day. Maybe I'm wrong. But I'm still right.

I think you're fat, you have small eyes, you have curly hair, you're short, and did I mention fat? Yeah, you also work at currency exchange. I know YOU!

can't handle the pressure to look good then
Pressure to look good? That's a first one. I don't feel pressure to look good. Do you? Sometimes I WANT to look good for whatever reasons but there's never pressure involved.

don't go crying
Come on lady, that's getting out of style. You're old. I don't want you!

when you experience rejection
You just experienced one. How does it feel?

Rejections are fun though, won't you agree?

I wonder, why you call yourself mysterious?

If you don't want to improve your looks, while hell did you bother clicking on this thread. The guys came to this thread because they want to look hot. I am not fat or a hyprocrite, I look after myself. But if you want to get laid more often you will have to get rid of your glasses and lose the excess weight on your body.

Looks are important. Confidence is important. But don't you feel more confident when you look good? They complement each other perfectly.

Agreed. I am not great looking. I would consider myself maybe a 6 or 7 but I dress nice and I have confidence. I hit on tons of girls and am fairly certain I can do this with ease because of the way I feel about myself.

Decent tip, but...

The first post was decent advice, but IT'S JUST ONE OPINION FROM ONE WOMAN THAT LIKES ONE TYPE OF MAN.

Get that in your heads - this is no 'bible' to looking good, but it's a decent start for a man who just has no *clue* when it comes to looks and fashion. It's a "Cliffs Notes to Fashion", because Colin Farrel has a very typical fashion that most men wear today (He is not 'hot' because he wears certain clothes - he is hot because he is good-looking and successful/famous. Keep that in mind.).

There are so many different lifestyles and sub-cultures of people in the world, and each one has different standards. Adapt to your own environment and identity. For example, surfers and surfer chicks would hardly find an armani-suited big spender attractive - it's just not on their priority of appealing fashion traits in a man. Likewise, a hardcore biker chick only digs muscles, a big goatee and biceps. She doesn't care that much about Diesel Jeans and Steve Madden dress boots. Likewise, some black girls might prefer the thug look to a preppy look. Asian girls prefer the clean-cut, GQ look that many Asian boys wear. White girls might like the vintage shirt, Von Dutch trucker cap and jeans that many whiteboys wear. It all DEPENDS.

I respect her opinion as it is. The thing that bothers me though, is that what she desribed as "hot" in the beginning she admitted that she's not exactly crazy for that look at the end. Ironic. What do women want?

It only took me less than a minute to find. =D You should be ALOT more descreet next time. :D

And MysteryWoman is right to a degree. Part of it is her OPINION, sure...But women want a guy who can take care of himself. Sheesh. I think She can safely speak for all women on that part.

Would you want YOUR chick steppin' outta the house looking and smelling like a fucking garbage pale kid?

Now guys...Stop crying and trying to turn this around on MW and take a fucking bath.

I think...dah..

Women want a guy who's...

...clean. I don't think it matters what he wears (unless it's a toga or burka)

Just as long as he and it are clean.

Oh. And smell nice. Women love nice smells.

ANY AND EVERY WOMAN LOVE NICE SMELLING GUYS!!

FUCKING FACT! I dare anyone to challenge me on that!

if you're also talking about my small gut... then no. i still get my fair share of women and i am not full of muscles ;)

i am probably too lazy to go to the gym everyday just to look hot for other girls. i'm happy about the way i am and i am not changing for no body. and this sort of attitude gets me a long way.

I didn't post the Colin Farrell photos, I said I am not crazy about him, but I can be objective and accept that he is above average and there are a lot of women out there who dig that look.

As for the guy who asked about the shoes, they do not have to be designer wear. Just make sure you never seen wearing scruffy shoes, unless you are using them for working out.

I think us men should find a style that we are comfortable with and also women find attractive e.g. most women i.e. over 50%would prefer men with short well groomed hair, like Colin Farrell is SWAT or even Brad Pitt's spiked hair in Fight Club.

Some posters have pointed out that being 'metro' is a bad thing. The problem is society has a bias for good looking people. Part of being good looking is dressing well and having good grooming and can mean the difference of you looking like a '6' to a '8'. Try turning up to a job interview for a financing firm with a cheap $100 suit and an unironed shirt - you wont get anywhere.

$100 suit?? pshh thats stupid. Both of my parents (divorced btw) have recently hit the millionaire mark, they buy all there clothes at wal-mart. I've never seen my dad wear a suit. Believe me, you can get "anywhere" without spending a fortune on your clothes if you know what your doing. I agree with the ironed shirt though.

Thats where you have to recognize her opinion as simply advice for a certain look which she finds attractive.

For instance, black men can pull off the bald look quite easily. Also balding men are better off with shaved or very very short buzz cuts. Tons of famous actors have had their hair very short like she cautions against and people still thought they looked good.

Every guy on this board would be better off doing some research and finding out what works best for him based on his face, hair, build, personality, etc.

Emphasize the good and improve or cover up the bad.

Don't think in terms of a particular person or "look", but do it piece by piece.

Universal standards make good posts but not good practice.

Your own style

As for style, the best thing you can do is to have your own style, whatever that may be. Usually a guy who's not good-looking does best with some variation on the "bad boy" theme: grunge for its own sake.

But the most important things are how you carry yourself, your eye contact, etc. Projecting charisma. Throw in your own unique style, and you'll be "hot."

P.S., I don't wear cologne at all, and I get lots of approaches. A lot of the stuff is bloody toxic, IMNSHO. I've a half a mind to wear one of those aardvark-type military gas masks some time when I go out, what with all the smoke and nasty perfumes and colognes polluting the air.

Re: Quick Question.

part about the hair is b*llocks. I never got more looks and flirtatous women around than when I shaved my hair down.
