How to act at a party

I was invited by a former fraternity brother (I am no longer a part of, just keeping in touch) to one of the bro's g/f's party. My previous experience at a party was pretty dull. I got nothing out of it, and mostly danced by myself with the occasional bumping up against a girl to try to get her involved with me.

I want to know how to do better this time around. I have limited dancing abilities, but I've been told it would be better if I just talked to them instead.

Any advice?

Be the life of the party. Talk to eveyone (good convo's not awkward talks), have fun, smile, be loud, out going, etc. Get the attention of a crowd of people (tell stories, etc.). People follow others, if a person (girl or guy) sees you with the rapt attention of a group of people they'll want in on the action.

Just have fun and put yourself out there. Being a "party person" isn't something you can fake. You either thrive in a party setting or you don't. I'm a party person, but I'm not a large party (50+) person. I work much better in smaller (20 people and down), more intimate parties.

K simple I am assuming your going with the intention of ****ing a hottie.. Go to the party around 9pm and walk around,small talk, have fun, build some social proof with guys and a few unattractive girls once the clock hits 10 its game on 10 till 2am is the window for a easy onenightstand with a hottie, at 10pm talk to all of the hotties dont stay for long and every once in a while go back to the guys and ugly girls you were talking too before the 10pm mark.. once the clock hits 11 you pretty much just start hugging all the girls, find a couple and play a drinking game with them, be completely ADD dont focus on them too much just play cause you love drinking, by 12 you will start seeing windows of opportunity by girls for you to reopen them once you find one that suits you you begin to isolate, talk about how fun that drinking game was, make fun of the dorky guy at the party, eventually after about 10 to 15 minutes put both of your hands up like your giving her a double High Five, (don't say high five, if she is vibing you she will dont it on her own free will) grab her hands like hold them up and bring her close to you then kiss her once for 3 seconds, then stop look her in the eyes, let go of her hands, then go in for the kiss and begin a makeout session

He's definitely right, but you can't be too crazy either. Be funny, happy, outgoing, friendly... but don't be that idiot running around the party who is in everybody's face. He's trying to be the life of the party too.

Be down to earth, interesting and fun. Control yourself though.
