How real is voting in Hot or Not or similar websites

how come some ugly guys and women have so high classifications and others not so ugly have a 2 or a 3 in a scale of 0 to 10 ? i have a 3 and i dont think im that ugly

It all depends on how you present yourself.


you can always improve a few points by wearing the right clothes, projecting the right image, etc..

i got like a 9.4 on there a couple of years back. Of course that required a good picture, leather pants, a tight shirt, etc

Attraction is genetic dont worry about it, haven't you ever had arguments over what you or some of your friends consider beautifful? Everyone finds different things attractive. There are some "globals" but there is lots of variety also.

Depends on how many votes you have, usually whn u have 50 votes or less your score will not be accurate. You should wait until you have 500 votes to get a reliable sample. I think people at hotornot ar fair scorers.

that's stupid, i have people voting 9 and 10's and 1's, lots of 8's, but the majority are 1's which i think is completely stupid.55 people voted but i will let it stay for some more days or weeks and see for myself, and i definitely dont consider myself as a 1 in a 0-10 scale, a 7 maybe.

I have performed an experiment with hotornot.com by posting different pictures of me. On some of them i had more than 9, others i had between 8 and 9, and some i ended up between 7 and 8.

I noticed that people are very influenced by the amount of skin you show. My shirtless pictures scored really high (i was at 9.9 at some point, lol), while my other pics seemed to score lower.

I noticed the same for girls. Even if a girl has an ugly face, she will have 9+ if she shows some skin or is in a sexy pose.

And yea, i always get a fair amount of 1's too, so dont worry. Hotornot has a system to curve the grades that people give. For example, if someone only gives grades between 1 and 5 to people, his grades will have a real value higher than 5. Maybe his 5's will be worth more like a 10, so...yeah!
