No. Don't get the car for the babes, but it will feel better. You earn a good amount of coin, you could look at the car you have for keeping money in your pocket.

But if you enjoy a driving experience and it's not totally a chore a great car that you like looking at and love to drive is a great daily pleasure to be able to indudge.

I used to always have two cars, one a 4-5 year old Toyota or Acura and a Corvette or Porsche. I would always go on the first few dates with my regular car so the girl wouldn't be seeing me because she thought I had money.

Now I just have one car a 2008 Infiniti G37S I bought a few years ago, I get complimented on it often from my dates, and none of then asked what year it is. I drive it because I like it and would buy another if I wrecked it.

Women usually don't know much about cars, so If you buy a 4 or 5 year old Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar for $25-30, they will most likely be very impressed, I would suggest you keep the Camry to weed out the gold diggers and then show them your nicer car.

Just food for thought. 04-05 Porsche 911's can be had for a relatively decent price with low miles. The nice thing about Porsche's is that they don't change much year to year. 98% of people cant tell the difference between a 2004 and a 2014.

Listen to me and take my advice. I'm 29 and just bought a 2015 Mustang...you don't buy a car and drop that kind of cash to get girls, you do it because you're a car guy and you have some kind of affinity towards that particular car/brand. For me, my family is big on cars and I'm a fan of Mustangs and their heritage...started looking back in 2011 with spec'ing and taking the idea seriously, and waited until now for the 50th anniversary to get this particular car. You also don't grab a car off the lot and compromise, you sit down and order what you want...it doesn't cost you any more to do so.

...I don't own a cool car for any other reason than that it's an extension of me/my personality and interests as a person. I've wanted one since I was a kid and can give you the entire history on Mustangs.

Now here's what you want to know...do I get attention? Yes. Mostly from guys wanting to talk cars, which is what would happen to you too. I'm ok with this and love it, because I'm a car guy and it's a great way to make friends. Whenever I do get a girl's attention, it's usually just stares as I drive by or park, but girls DO NOT approach guys on the spot over a car. Most girls don't really care for cars unless their fathers were car guys and got them into it legit. I have received some compliments, and had a white/pink striped '08 park next to me and leave a note saying "great taste in cars!!!" With a smiley face...but girls don't care about cars.

Fact of the matter, is that with every nick/scrape/dent/etc, that new car comes closer to where your Toyota currently sits. New cars are only fun while they're new, which isn't long, and then they just become an obligation....unless, you have an attachment and a genuine purpose/love for that car like I do with mine.

My suggestion...girls are impressed by clean vehicles, pretty wheels, and a nice paint job. Think long and hard about vehicles, and trade in that appliance of a Toyota on something more fun and unique that won't break the bank. Either keep the Toyota as a daily driver and grab a second vehicle for fun...a little Pontiac Solstice drop top for less than $10k is more stunning/fun/ attention getting than a luxury car...and save that cash you'd be spending on a German vehicle without a purpose(unless you're a BMW guy or look at Porsches as said above), or even ditch the Toyota for an FRS/BRZ at $25k, get a Nissan Z, even look at Jeep Wranglers, etc...just get a fun vehicle for the sake of having fun while driving.

...but don't buy a luxury car for huge amounts of cash expecting it to attract girls, as the reality is that it will eventually be just like your Camry and most girls honestly wouldn't know a Bimmer from an Eclipse and just think the wheels and paint are pretty.

I got a Hyundai Veloster Turbo with every option for $25K and only pay $300 a month. More girls have complimented me on it than the BMW M3 I drove for 17 years prior ($700 a month on average, first the lease, then the upkeep). Don't waste money on a car.

Exactly...BMWs are amazing, but they're also kind of bland to the average Joe who can't recognize grill shapes/headlights/silhouettes of vehicles. Most girls wouldn't know that you had a BMW until they saw the logo on it. That Veloster is way more distinctive and polarizing, hence all of the attention. Miatas, Minis, 500s, Beatles, etc are what really get the average girl's attention. I actually like the current Beatle turbos...

I drive a 10 year old 2006 Toyota Camry even though I could easily afford a brand new luxury car. I make $100K but have lil to no expenses, and only have to take care of myself (single).

My Camry, for its age, is very well kept (engine & body), runs perfect, and is an otherwise decent looking mid size sedan. It easily can go another 200K miles.

Back to my question: in terms of picking up better quality girls -- how much would, say, a 2016 sporty BMW/Audi/Mercedes/Lexus type car help .. and would it be worth the $600-$1,000 extra a month ? I'm weighing the pros and cons of conserving/investing and driving a fancy car to improve my chances with higher quality girls.

I'm currently dating ~5s but trying to improve myself to get that number up to ~7+

I'm going to do a what a lot of people here are not doing and simply give you a straight answer without addressing whether or not it reflects on some kind of insecurity you may or may not have. Yes, it will help you get laid. All these guys giving you this "do it for you, bro!" are really fooling themselves.

It sounds a lot like feminists who'll tell you to your face women wear makeup, heels, and tight clothing for themselves and not to impress men. Please. Both sexes spend big money on top of the line products to posture to the opposite sex. Men don't spend $50,000 on a car or buy a $10,000 Rolex for themselves ever.

I drive a 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible. With the top down and a recent car wash, it's enough to get multiple compliments especially if it catches the gloss of the sun right. There are neutral cars, cars that'll actually hurt your game, and cars that'll do the game for you. I haven't pulled just based on the car, but it definitely doesn't hurt me.

Unless it's a M3/M4/M5/M6 i feel like every young guy who drives a normal bmw is a poser. Honestly you dont need a sport or luxury car because i infact get compliments all the time driving an manual 08 mazda 3.

Now dont get me wrong, im not saying sports/luxury cars dont help but there are other things more important like

1)Keep the inside of your car SPOTLESS
Ill clean the outside of my car about once a fortnight or even once a month but the inside ill make sure its spotless all the time. Even if this means 2 or 3 times a week. Vacuum the carpet and wipe everything down (dashboard,seats,steering , gear knob,handbrake etc) till its dustfree.

2) Learn how to drive manual/stickshift
Now i learned manual because i genuinely love driving manual but it does have it perks. More so often i do get the occasional comments from women." Wow is this car manual?", even the "Im impressed you drive manual". The best one would be " can you teach me how to drive manual?" With me responding " what do i get in return? ".

3) Keep your car smelling nice
This in my opinion is by far the most important one i reckon. Air out your car, do not keep clothes,shoes, well anything that even has a slight odour in your car.DONT SMOKE IN YOUR CAR BUT IF YOU DO AIR IT OUT AND BUY A BLOODY AIR FRESHENER. Preferably fruity smells but anything nice will do.

Honestly literally 9/10 girls who gets into my car will comment positively on it. I guarantee that you that girls will be much more impressed . This way you save yourself a lot of money.

If your game is at beginner's stage then having a new car could get you dates, even a girlfriend. However I wouldn't spend the money on a car because it gets devalue.

A nice car that you LIKE to drive improves the DJ's perceived quality of life. Quality of life is something all of us are attempting to improve whether we like it or not.

Besides the top gladiators weren't driving around junky chariots. They were likely in some hand man artistic craftsmanship. A car is like your chariot, so there is no problem with a DJ having a fine auto.

Very true. A nice 'exotic' car does make a difference to chick pull, but I still agree with most posts here - buy it for yourself. The nice side effect is getting extra chick interest. Then you have to convert that IL to gold.

Porsche IMO is one of the best value for money top level cars. Make sure it's mint and looks great, don't worry about mileage or year. If it's older, tell the truth - it's a 'classic' Porsche

I made a typo in that post. It should say 98% of people can't tell the difference between an 2004 and a 2014. Unless they are into Porsche's, they sort of all look the same. But they are timeless. And they are sexy cars.

To the OP: a nice car will help, but how much it will help depends on many factors, including the kind of women you go for and where you live (in some areas, luxury cars are so common, they don't really stand out unless you have something truly exotic).

If you decide to buy a car to help your game, forget Japanese and American brands and buy German. Porsche, Audi, BMW and Mercedes have much greater cache in the eyes of women than anything domestic or Japanese. Women get most of their information about cars from movies, music videos, celebrity gossip, etc. How often do you see a celebrity or a movie character driving an Acura, Infinity or modern Cadillac?

What others have said about chicks not knowing the age of cars is mostly true (unless your car is obviously very old...like 10 years+). They also don't really understand the difference between various models. Few women would be able to tell the difference between, say, BMW 3 and 5 series or Audi A4 and A6. Women usually classify cars as big, small, sports car (basically, anything with two doors) and SUV.

Ahhhhh....gonna bump this and add-in again. I actually got a number from a 9/10 at a gas station today; that's literally the first "real" hit that I've ever got since owning my Mustang. Very nice 20-something brunette with a Camaro pulled up on the opposite side of me, complimented both the car and then me, and asked if I could give her a ride some time.

Still to reiterate, this sort of thing is very...very unlikely to happen and not why you buy a new car. But apparently it does happen if things align perfectly. Just don't spend too much or do anything crazy, and let us know what you decide to get.

Having a nice car and nice things helps YOUR confidence even if you don't have any spectators. It helps because it feels good. If you really like cars, a really nice car that you love will give you pleasure every minute of the driving experience vs a car you tolerate. It fills your pleasure centers and confidence. It's good for a DJ to take care of himself. Taking care of yourself is rewarding yourself with some of the pleasures and treasures of this world.

So the right car is a great thing, its a tool, and people have used cars to pull babes for a very long time.
