How much of a life are you able to have outside of a full-time job?

Its your life, do what you want, its not like you are comminting crimes or being a freeloader or anything..
1. Going back to school costs money, money I don't have. I'm really not in a good financial situation right now, and the last thing I should be doing is spending lots of money while I'm not making much. Besides, I have no idea what I'd study, especially for grad school. I just want to go back for the college environment.

2. Starting college at 22 is different from trying to live the "college life" and that kind of fun in your later 20s. My point was that soon I'll have a life in which most of my peers are moving into their career/marriage/kids phase of life while I want to make up for the fun and social experiences I missed out on in highschool/college.

I like to hang out with friends but after work I am so beat I just end up taking a nap and playing video games.
That's the kind of shit I'm talking about, and I hear it a lot. I've had experience working/studying/whatever from morning till evening straight, and whenever I do, I'm beat by the end of the day too. And for the past couple years my diet and level of exercise has been excellent (which I worry about being able to maintain once I'm working full-time).

Well you obviously know what you DON'T want, why don't you stop lying to yourself, and tell us what the **** you DO want, we'll help you get there.

Do you enjoy selling things on EBay? STR8UP gave you advice already, don't look away from the real people. They are the only ones that really matter. The rest of the guys are right as well, they are at least trying to help, your just comlaining like the little b!tch that you are!

Stop worrying about what your going to miss out on, or your going to miss what your opportunities are, you are smart, but your scared as hell right? I can tell, your 24 years old, and your acting like that little poofter frivolouz right now. Why are you worrying about your life so much? Your not working as hard as you can, WHICH YOU CAN HAVE HELLA FUN DOING, and instead ou sit at home crying to yourself asking over and over again and getting the same answer. Do you want a different answer? Why not just tell us, instead of lying to us, stop trying to deieve people, it only hurts you more in the long run.

Did you hear what other people said? Just go out there and live your life. Worry about you, the fun will come when you DESERVE it. If you really want something that is easy, something you will regret when your kids ask you why it took you so ****ing long to grow some balls, go give some blood, donate to people who just got their arm blown off by a deranged maniac, which I think you may just become if you don't smarten up. Go find a girl, put a condom on and **** her, when your about to blow your load, pull out the little cup the nurse gave you, and give up your love blood. Do that for a year. You'll have fun, and it will bea easy, you might give something to a family who will really respect you in the future. If your taking drugs, and harming your body, you can't give sperm nor blood, so you'll learn a few valuable lessons and make some easy money in the process, i personally have set my sights on doing just that, AND working on my education and HARD WORK experience on the side. I learned from the school of hard knocks kid, you should too. Smarten the **** up.

Just go to Scandanivia and become a bum. In socialist countries rich people (and middle class folks) pay for poor people to sleep around.

Do they actually go around asking you if you want money over there, if your just living on the street? You mean I don't have to apply for 3 jobs and have them say no I don't want you, once every three months to get a check and live in canada or the US? Oh, man! I've got to move over there, it sounds so much easier!!!

Dude, I have it lucky because I'm a full time student. If I were a full time accountant I'd be working 8-5, then going to grab some dinner, and go back to work from 7-11. And that's not even during tax season, because you will go until 4 or 5 in the morning before you get to go home.

And I don't even give a f*ck what you think about me playing video games. I could be popping pimples or singing Brittney Spears songs, whatever gets me to unwind after work.

No, it's called "welfare". It's basically getting free money from the government (well, from taxpayers) for doing...nothing.

Why would you go back from 7 to 11? I know accountants, and as far as I know, their schedule is 8-5 or 7-4.

Maybe you can do it all. Prob not.
It's your life, no one said you have to get a full time job.

Get a full time job if money or this job is your absolute, unquestionable number 1 priority. If u get a part time job, you can exercise and socialise a lot (or whatever) as well.

It's your choice, do whatever you feel is best. No one is forcing you to live the life of a 45 year old office worker.

That's my opinion.

Ha. I can get a part-time job if I want to live in a closet. Obviously I wouldn't be getting a full-time job if I didn't need the money.

All i meant was to think outside the square.

Like working 30 hrs a week, but working 3 or 4 nights a week at a bar or something as well is cool. I've done that, and it's worked for me as it provides a balanced lifestyle. (i'm back to studying full time now tho.)

I've also worked full time before, and you're free to do whatever you like from 5pm on friday til 9am on monday morning... which is A LOT of time to do other things.

So of course you can have a fantastic life whilst still working full time. Initially you'll be tired all the time and just get home, watch tv and sleep etc. But once you get used to working the hours, anything is possible, and it's not that hard.

In fact, I think most ppl in their 20s who work full time do have a life as well, because they make the effort.

The city that sleeps. Sometimes.
i have friends who work even more than me and manage to have a full life.

fvck all that weak "i am tired" bulll****. unless you are 60 years old, you should be living your life to the fullest. I'll rest when i am fvcking dead. For the past 4 days i've been getting like 4 hours of sleep on the average, so what? I am having the time of my life. I'll never be young again, I'll never have the chance to go out every night, etc.

I was actually pissed last night cause i got home from work at midnight and decided not to go out. If i got home at 11, i would have probably went out.

four stars on the thread, ...

, I get up at 7 30 in the morning I work out for an hour

then work full time from 8 30 to 730 a total of 11 hours !!

I eat dinner til 8:00 pm and do another workout til 9.

not but 2 hours later is bedtime

what should I do ? work less or sleep less or make the most of those two hours. that is something I have to consider to make the most of my time I know other people who are just as worse still having a social life, but this schedule certainly doesn't help.

Other advice.

Cut out all TV

Build momentum when you get home. Eat something quick but healthy, then get some exercise (a quick 15 or 20 minute jog is great). That will pep you up.

Drink a bunch of water.

Try to do your main workouts in the morning before work (easier said than done, I slept and hour longer today instead of going to the gym before work)
