How much money would you be satisfied with?

How much money would it take for you to live a happy life? (after tax)

I'd be happy with 90k a year
I would get most things I want
Hell im not the type of guy who would want all the "luxirous" things in life
I just want something that would simply suit my needs :]
I would buy a mid class home and than just buy a nice car and thats it anything after that would probably be wasted on food and beer and im a pretty skinny guy :D

Why does your list only go up to 200k? It should START with 200k :) I'd say $5M/yr would keep me happy.

how about being happy now?

as far as the poll goes, i'm aiming to make my first million this year (by july 2007).

like someone else said, i'd rather have passive income. but for me it's really not about the money but about getting the things i want to buy with that money, and the feelings that will come with having those things. money itself is nothing special.

It's not always about what your income is. Right now I have ZERO income. That's right. ZERO. And it's been that way for about a year and a half. But believe it or not, I live in a VERY nice townhouse in the best neighborhood in town, have a couple of nice cars, and travel often. When you learn how to play the game you will discover that there is a whole other dimension to money that most people never even get.

A-Unit also brought up an important point- the difference between earned income and passive income. This is what TRULY separates the rich from the poor.

Rich people have passive income. Money that comes in regardless of how much effort you put into it. This is really the ONLY goal you need to have when you set out to build wealth.

Most people are too busy chasing earned income to ever build themselves to the point where they have substantial passive income. I would rather have a piece of property or a piece of paper making me money while I sleep than have to physically put in 40+ hours per week to make twice as much.

The SWEETEST money I get is not the one from my job (which I dumped not so long ago), it's the one from rented stuff. I can ride my bike around town if I wish, read books and stuff (including financial stuff), you name it.
