When I was working behind the bar I'd have endless ****tails bought for me, though I learned early on not to get drunk while working... After an hour of bliss, it turns into pain and agony until closing, around 2AM.
After that, I always limit myself to 6 shots of whatever, spread out over the night.
Now that I'm done with that job, I barely drink at all even when going out. If the occasion--birthday party, etc.--comes along, I'll load up my 6oz flask with some Grey Goose or Skyy and sip on that the whole night.
If we have friends over I just drink a Guinness or two. For a few more months I'm going 0 alcohol, getting rid of some bodyfat.

Here's a tip for those that can't have a good time without alcohol:
Go out to a bar or club 4 nights a week and just talk to random people. Don't even try to approach or anything, just focus on meeting random people and having a good time. Make sure you don't drink anything. After a few weeks, as little as 3 weeks even, you'll be able to get into that vibing state of mind without needing the booze.
Working in a bar, many times without drinking, taught me how to get into the right state of mind. It's a stupid trap to fall into to need alcohol in your system to be able to have a good time!
