Most of it has to do with genetics. Dont fool yourselves into thinking you can change how young you can look. Mother nature always wins that battle. People demonize the sun. It is actually vital that we get enough sun. The fitness industry and sun screen industry have all of you brainwashed thinking you have to pay for there products and services. The media also has alot of you tricked into thinking you have to look like some photo shopped model with muscles. Men throughout history didnt care about this stuff. You cant control aging.
Pretty much this.

And specifically, hair genetics. My hair started thinning in my early 20s, and after my mid 20s it became severe.

Thinning or no hair destroys your SMV, since most people expect this to happen at a more advanced age. I probably look 50+ from the back. Physique and working out is a separate category, and does not help you with this.

This literally impacted my dating pool and choices. I cannot attract or keep most of the women that I am interested in (and I am not a simp).

A lot of aging is actually diet related too. Take a look at David Sinclair, he's a longevity scientist who is 54 years old but could pass for a 40 year old.

Genetics still plays a role but diet, sleep, and exercise are just as important.

Every guy who just starts losing hair just gives up and doesn't try anything. There are a lot of hair loss prevention/treatment options.

His boyish looks and the fact he still has hair (which he dyes) are all down to genetics. When considering the age of an individual, one has to take into account how he appears in real life, how he carries himself, does he have a V taper or shrunken shoulders, his gait and so on ... all these appraisals of 'oh, he looks so young' based off of photos or videos where he's sitting and only visible from neck up are nonsense.

Specifically on Sinclair, since he's vegan and doesn't lift weights, I very much doubt that in real life one wouldn't notice he is skinny fat and lacking muscle mass.

When I got noticeable 'male pattern baldness' around 25 years old, I did review my options. Back then, there were hair pieces or you could do a comb over, but hair plugs were painful and ugly. Around this time, Andre Agassi (tennis player) appeared at Wimbledon with a shaved head, and the women in the audience creamed themselves over Agassi, so I shaved my head and never looked back. Most women I'm attracted to tend to adore my shaved head and my facial hair.

The girls who are looking for long flowing hair and babyfaces were never attractive to me either.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

But in all seriousness, everyone ages differently and is affected differently by the sun. Genetics determine your biological outcomes more than anything exogenous(besides very severe trauma/events). It's all just cope and insecurities.
Well yeah.... some people are born with chronic illness. But there isn't a darn thing you can do about the hand you are dealt. That is why I always say be the best version of yourself you can be. Some men lose their hair or gray early.... some have genetic dispositions like chronic arthritis, which limits their ability to work out... when this happens, there are things you can do. If you are born with darker shin, you can withstand Sun much better than someone with Redhair and fair skin, but using sunscreen is still a smart move.

Yes, a lot of women do not mind it. But there are women that are not attracted to men with shaved heads. So it does somewhat limit the dating pool, depending on the person and if your social circle/lovers have known you all the way back when you had hair.

But of course better shaved than having patches of hair here and there.

Love it. This is the basis of Stoic philosophy.

The goal should be to look good for your age, not younger. Heck, most people don't actually look younger than they are, quite often it's a fallacy.

It's hilarious, these skincare fanatics even advocate wearing SPF indoors saying it will somehow keep you looking younger because some uv rays can get through windows. Even saying you must wear it during winter when the uv rating is at level 1.

Shaved head looks quite good on some guys, and maybe not on others.

I’m 54. I routinely get told I look somewhere in my 30s. This is irrespective of wearing makeup. Like @RangerMIke I avoided the sun in my youth (and continue to avoid it now). I eat clean, get plenty of sleep (I typically get up at 10am and have done this for decades), and I take care of my skin. I find time to relax and de stress and I maintain a youthful attitude.

My husband is 8 years younger than I, and we look like we are around the same age (he is youthful for his age as well). I have a few grays but the blond hides them, and my husband has about the same. People say we look like siblings as our heritage and coloring and body type is quite similar.

One thing I do is consciously knock down demodex mites on the face. These mites are part of the normal flora on the skin, especially as people age, but are more and more implicated in rosacea and papular red adult acne. Neither of which are attractive.

My skin is sensitive so once I got serious about sleuthing out why I was having red bumps (I assumed hormones), suddenly my skin is the clearest it has been in literally 20 years.
