How many good friends do you have?

I want to know so I can see how people compare. Moved to a new place and I feel like I have to start over.

I have a network of people and used to have 5 really good friends but they all joined the military or moved away. Now I have 2 really good ones and a bunch of normal ones

i used to have friends i considered pretty close, but they changed... i have a few good mates and lots of acquitences, but in terms of reallly good friends, or someone i really get on with/best friend, no one comes to mind. I would love to meet a girl who was also a best friend, not very dj though...

I say "best friends" becuase i dont discriminate.. i dont want to pick.

1 guy I met when I was dating his sister in school. We been friends forever. His LTR GF is also a good friend of mine. 2 of my flatmates, and my best friend is my ex!

I used to have like 10 or 15 close friends but after high school most went away to college or they got on hardcore drugs and never came back. Now I'm left with like 2 or 3.

I dunno if other people fit into this scenario. I have five close buddies. However, in terms of "normal" friends, I only have about two or three.

I mean, there's always quite a few aquaintences, but that's it.

It's hardly an awful situation, but I hope to expand my comfortably normal horizons sometime in the future.

currently no genuine good friends, many aquatences who probably consider me a friend but if sh1t hit the fan i dont think i could rely on anyone.

Its been a while since i'v had a good friend, one got killed by some drugged aborigine punks, one moved to Europe and the last as another poster said 'changed'.

i keep about 3-4 close friends, that's pretty much it

i count close friends as people i could call at 3am and say "hey, my car died on the highway, can you come give me a jump?"
and if they would, that's a close friend.
