I agree. I do weights Mon/Wed/Fri and Swimming Tues/Thurs. I've been picking up a lot of speed so I recently got some good goggles. Wow, if anyone has not experienced this, try it ! It makes swimming even more fun... I like looking into the depths at the bottom and everything. Some person was swimming on the wrong side of the pool and I saw them underwater at the last minute and dived under him. Haha.noodle said:swimming is a great alternative to the treadmill for cardio.
Conditions your whole body too and I think its pretty fun.

Second, I know it is essential to have a protein shake after lifting. But I want to do a little cardio afterwards. How long can I do cardio before I have adverse effects since I don't have that protein? I heard if you don't feed yourself protein after lifting it can actually decrease muscle mass.
