don't worry about your posture. worry about whether or not you feel comfortable being out in public around other people. If you're comfortable in your own skin, socially aware, etc, etc your poster is going to be fine without you even thinking about it.

I'd say sometimes it's not that simple. Your body is going to be adapted to whatever posture you most commonly adopt. Muscle memory. You sometimes have to break that mold by placing your body into a proper stance, and maintaining it. Shoulders, up, back and down is a good one, neck straight up, chin slightly up. I know there's more but those are a few good ones.

I'd like to add too that your posture also affects your psychology as well. Say you're feeling down, but instead of slouching, you stand proper. Your mind will pick up that 'hey, my body isn't feeling down, why am I feeling down?'. And your mind will adapt based on that.

Here's one link that talks a bit about it - http://www.bettermovement.org/2011/posture-and-mood-a-two-way-street/

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

as a guy who has the WORST posture you have ever seen for a 22 year old guy. it's VERY important. i can't count the times people have told me to put my shoulders back ad stand up straight.

it's THAT important that if i had normal poster like everyone else. i think my life would be COMPLETELY different. ( i am working on fixing this)

I read that the proper posture when dating is to be somewhat relaxed and spread out.

This is very true. Apparently research has shown women are attracted to guys who are relaxed and spread their weight out. I do this after a few drinks anyway, it shows relaxation and a kind of oneness with the environment. If she is interested she will seek out the protection of it

I used to have pretty bad posture, but I found that as my confidence grew, I took on a more outward, powerful stance. Very little need to adjust due to muscle memory, but that was just me.
