My journey to the top has been an up and down struggle filled with highs and lows. I came into this community as a semi-natural with a tremendous ability to persuade and convince people.
Stumbling onto the community was something of a natural progression for me. I suppose that my first foray into self-improvement began when I was about 18 and I start read and practicing Tao. The philosophy of the East intrigued me then and it still does today. Every now and then when I feel like I'm getting a little to caught up in the hustle and bustle of modern life I’ll sit down and read a book on Zen Buddhism or Tao. It has a calming effect on my mind and it tends to put me in a more focused state.
Following my little Eastern Philosophy binge was the introduction into manipulation and power. My roommate was an avid reader and I was constantly borrowing his psychological reading material. I would say that Robert Greene’s 48 Laws of Power really made me realize how people “tick” he also had a wide variety of “Pimp” type books and that opened my eyes. “The Pimp Game” by Mickey Royale was a fantastic read that I’m sure very few people know about.
So armed with new knowledge I began testing it out on people I already knew. I was notorious for being readily available to friends and acquaintances, so I applied the law of Scarcity and I quickly saw a complete 360-degree change in the way people treated me. Instead of talking and craving the spotlight I stepped back and let people enter my reality as opposed to appearing needy by bombarding them with mindless banter and useless small talk. When I spoke my words were profound. I also rarely asked people questions. I learned that from “The Pimp Game”
Finding the community was a rather interesting turn of events. I was doing some surfing during the summer of 2003. As a matter of fact it was around this time of year. Early June. I was reading about Fight Club and up popped a website where the PUA Tyler Durden was hosting an article. I didn’t know what to think. But I quickly grasped that info and started applying the techniques.
My rise to the top was meteoric. I grasped the material and being a semi-natural it was just second nature.
The first and most important thing that I did was focus on body language above all else. We sub-communicate through our body language way more then we do by talking. Many experts say that 90 of communication is body language. So why would I concentrate on the lines if my BL wasn’t going to be congruent? So I began by watching movies like Fight Club, Top Gun, Godfather, and Rambo. I watched how these Alpha Male characters carried themselves. I made notes of their subtle BL signs and attempted to mimic them. After a month and a half my BL was rock solid and I was able to communicate very effectively through BL and chicks were giving me massive IOI’s. The best way to test your BL is this: Go into a social gathering and use bad BL and watch for any IOI’s you get. They should be minimal. Then walk into a similar setting and use your finely tuned Alpha BL and see how many IOI’s you get. You won’t be able to count it is so many. Think about the classic example of the Lion in the Jungle: Do you think he would garner respect if he meekly walked around the Jungle floor? Obviously he wouldn’t and would not get selected to mate. Same theory applies here.
Now the next thing was the verbal. I started by using some canned material but found it to be less then intriguing. So I began writing my own stuff out for the sake of congruency. It’s not hard to come up with interesting topics to talk about. And after all that is what PUA is based on. You need to be someone that has a full arsenal of witty and funny stories, jokes, and anecdotes to go to for any situation. Start by getting a blank piece of paper and list all the crazy and interesting things you have done in your life and start thinking about a way you can work then into your sarging. You’ll feel a lot more congruent then asking a chick “Is David Bowie hot”
The third phase was clothing. This was the part that I really loved the most. It was so easy for me to dress more interesting then 90 percent of the guys out there. Go to a club and you’ll see that most of these chodes dress like they are wearing a uniform. Once again, I went to movies for inspiration and model much of my fashion sense of the Fight Club version of Tyler Durden. I set myself apart from the crowd but felt very confident because not only did I look cool, I didn’t spend nearly the money other guys were spending for “going out” gear.
I meshed all those elements together and began crafting out other goals. I wanted a kick ass apartment so I got one. Then I need a good gas saving car so I got one of those for all the driving I would be doing picking up chicks so I bought one. I wanted to generate multiple streams of income so I started my own company.
