Besides, as was mentioned, the line itself has maybe fell out of fashion somewhat. Most girls, at least here, will more or less flat out ignore you and look at you like you are on fire when you open her in a bar and she's not interested
I haven’t really experienced that yet, but how should you respond to this? I know she’s likely not interested but it really isn’t in my nature to let a girl just get away with being incredibly rude to me; I feel the need to either get her “on my side” or tell her off.

Hard to answer that. I've almost never gotten this reaction from US girls (although have seen it in some infields, albeit very infrequently) but in the UK (and not up North where it's more friendly) this is fairly common. It's just a losing battle. Over the years, and back when I still believe in 'game' being some sort of black magic, I tried all kinds of the advice coaches gave for these kinds of girls. RSD's million dollar mouth piece where you just keep talking and talking until she 'breaks' kind of thing. That scammer 'john anthony' where he says to basically 'tell her off' and grab her arm and MAKE her listen to you, mystery's theory of meeting an IOD with your own IOD and giving a little neg and then turning your body away from her etc etc etc. No help. Obviously nothing is gonna 'work' as such, but if something will at least make you feel better, then feel free I guess lol. I tend to just laugh it off like she's being the weird one and not me and then move on to the next girl

It does not work to push after a girl who is pulling away or giving you less attention - BUT it does work to push through with a girl who is giving you NEGATIVE attention.

I personally don't think so lol. If she's telling you to go away and saying she's not interested and trying to shoo you away etc, you've got more chance of winning the lottery than banging her lol.

I should elaborate more - if she keeps giving you negative attention even after you are trying to stop talking to her, then she clearly wants to keep going.

One thing's for certain, NEVER ASK IF SHE HAS A BF. I've seen dudes do this and it is the worst. Why put up a possible block? To answer OP, You should never let her having a boyfriend cause you to eject. You can **** on the boyfriend with some humor or you can just ignore it totally. But being persistent regardless of her saying she has a bf is definitely beneficial. I had a girl mention her bf to me when I first met her, and two weeks later she was calling him "baby daddy". The following week she was swallowing my kids in my car. Moral of the story- Don't stop being persistent just because she says she has a boyfriend. A lot of girls will feel the temptation to cheat on them if you play it right, and many will say they have a boyfriend when they aren't even faithful to him. You just never know, so don't reject yourself!

I previously used to give up when a girl would mention a boyfreind, but recently I expereimented with disregarding the statement and proceeding as if she said nothing, or saying " I dont give a ****" or even "your boyfreind is a loser and you know it" and though I have not gotten a number yet after this, I can see the girls interest peak after I blatantly disregard the statement. I have occasionally had a boyfreind actually walk up, at which point I politely leave.
If it's mentioned right at the beginning, I'd move on.

I don't see how it is ever a good thing other than a soft rejection; in fact, retorting to it in any way makes the man lose his frame. I think I've only gotten it once, and she was 16.

I remember one time in college, there was some chunky chick at my apartment complex that was asking me something about a bus stop, and kept talking to me, and laid out the "boyfriend" line (my Inner-Me was bursting out laughing at that). And she seemed to be going out of way to tell me which apartment she was living in, like she wanted me to stalk her. o_O Fortunately I didn't encounter her at any future time.

It depends on how urgent she shows she wants to leave the conversation. Read her body language.

"He can come too"

If after that she gets bytchy just wslk away
exactly. these girls had no intention of leaving the conversation.

I previously used to give up when a girl

Give up what? Trying to get with her? Women, or really anyone, can pick up when someone is trying to awkwardly get with someone. I’ve had multiple encounters where I’m talking to attractive women and some guy awkwardly comes up to us and tries to join the convo. After he leaves, she then tells me it’s super obvious that he’s trying to get with her and I make a joke and we laugh.

The secret to seamless interactions with people is to not take it seriously and be open to actually talk about them. You only need a small level of charisma and honestly your situation isn’t that hard to defuse if you had that. You leaving the convo and then standing slightly in the back is awkward. They were definitely gossiping about you behind your back. Conversation is a lot simpler than you think and it’s easy to turn a situation fun.

Don’t listen to the posters here telling you to do some weird flirty pickupy comment. Stop trying to flirt because it’s not what you need to focus on right now. You need to practice your charisma with everyone so you can better read the room and respond in a non awkward manner.

I have a boyfriend = I don’t like you
This isn’t always true.

I’ve had several attractive women in relationships be a little bit on the questionable side with me regardless if she told me or not.

But then again it’s better to make this a broad generalization because morals.

IHAB..classic comeback is something like "He can come out with us if he wants too but he might get a bit jealous of us".

Saying "your boyfriend is a loser" is really bad game. Bad mouthing guys in general is really bad game.
