*Sigh* It pains me to even write this because I know I am going to receive quite a few flames for it.

How bad can my situation get if I don't proactively attempt to follow the DJ way? I am 17 and nowhere near being able to move away from my parents. My current goals are to get my Master's degree and to possibly start a business. I have no real interests other than games, books, anime, and technology. All in all, I have assessed my situation endlessly and have found no opportunity to work on my AFCism in the near future. So, I have decided that I will only focus on my work for the time being. But, in that meantime, how bad do you think my situation could get? When is it just too late to turn back? What's the worst-case scenario?

the worst case scenario is that you die unfulfilled and full of "I wish" and "If only I had...".

Oh please. It's really not that bad. Looking at your post, I'm assuming you're just bored, or something, so just join a sports team, or join a club.

Cactus, you don't need to be a super-athlete to get chicks. In fact, it's better to have nerdy hobbies than to have no hobbies at all! The difference between the nerd that gets chicks and the nerd that doesn't is that the nerd that gets chicks has strong inner game, and the nerd that doesn't has weak inner game.

http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=113316 Read my second post in this thread for a description of what I mean when I say "inner game".

Hah,don't worry man. I am sure you can't get that kinda decision at all. It's impossible just to "stop" meeting girls. There are everywhere! A friend of mine who showed me this website says that he always wanted to change because of the girls .Now he finds out that this change was not necessary(NOT USELESS!) at all, because there are chicks for everybody everywhere.Just do what you think you have to do and I am sure you will find your type of girl with the time.Just sit watch learn and don't miss your chances.

I think you know the worst scenario- the worst risk is not to take risks at all!

If you refuse meeting girls , you will .... (finish by yourself)

He's got a sense of humour. Haha I think he's busting on what he see's as all the "retards" on here and their assumptions because that's all we supposedly do is assume

lol buddy i was alot worse than you. You are busy and you have a clear goal for the future, you know where you are heading, stick to it and while studying, instead of watching tv, get the DJ guide and read that, you dont have to go out into the field right now, all you have to do first is get your life sorted. Once you got that out the way and manage your time properly, then you can have a good relationship, a girlfriend cannot make your life better if you havent got it sorted.

Read the DJ Bible three times through. Nicely done book, but theory won't get me anywhere. But, yes, for the time being, I do not plan on going out in the field, as you say.
