How do you Seperate a girl from her friends?

I asked this girl to prom, whom i've been eyeing for sometime now. She eagerly said yes to me when I asked her so I'm happy.

The problem is when I try to talk to her, she is always around her friends who ruin everything. They constantly change subjects so its hard for me to get to know my date. Anyone got any good ways to seperate a girl from her friends or a non- awkward way to ask a girl to talk to you alone?

I don't like using the phone b/c i feel that i tie up the family line.
She doesn't IM very much so thats out.
I don't have much problem talking to her in person though.

simple. don't get to know her at school. it's lame to go up to a girl at school and ask her to talk alone... it seems over-dramatizing.

if you want to isolate her AT school, talk to her in the hallway and put your hand on her opposite shoulder as if your arm is around her. and talk to her. you're touching her, of course her mind will be on you at the moment, not her friends. keep a friendly smile... you don't want to act like one of those nerdy, fake-over-confident weirdos at school.

or

(better choice) during the day, tell her you're getting lunch after school and maybe stop by the mall for a bit, and ask her if she wants to go.

even though you said you don't have a problem talking to her in person, discussing over food is the best... if you have nothing to say, take a bite until you can think of something interesting.

Or how about you ask her on a date.. ask her to meet you at a certain spot during the day or take her out on Friday/Saturday night..

You should join her group and be social to show that you're a stand up guy.. if her friends like you then that is a good way to also increase IL. Approval from her friends = social proof. Girls like guys who have social proof. So join her group at times and have conversations.

but if you want to get to know HER better, asking her out somewhere just the two of you so you can talk is how you do it.
