I'm thinking about running for Junior Representative this year at band camp, but I'm not exactly sure how to get people to vote for me. I'm not necessarily popular or anything, so I'm going to have to give poeple a good reason to vote for me. So how do I presuade to people to vote for me?

Well first of all one of my girlfriends won the drum major = leader for next year. I helped her in a few ways so let me tell you how she won. First of all everyone pretty much knew her so she was popular in band. Why? because she talked to EVERYONE I mean including the lozer nerds and the ugly fat chicks she talked smiled and was NICE to everyone. Secondly she started to get support EARLY probably 3 weeks before all the other candidates decided to start their campagin. By the time they got to them it was too late everyone pretty much loved the GIRL. The third reason she won is because she's my friend I did some tricks during the voting so she got extra 10. 
Of course noone knows about that but that's besides the point if you want to win fair then you gotta be popular and people have to KNOW YOU. So be friendly outgoing and start talking to ppl if you can't do that I suggest becoming friends with the ppl who count the votes.

Also do something to make your speech memorable, but not rely heavily upon the gimmicks. I ran through a banner, leapt into the crowd shoke hands, leapt onto the stage like a pirate and then did my speech (I also knew 1999/2000 people). Being personable is most of the battle, and sadly cannot be done in within 24 hours (providing your group of people is large).

ever seen those car commercials...i think for kias...where the guy is there next to a car giving an incredibly inspirtaional sounding speech...and its funny cause its just about a car. haha do that for running for band camp pres or whatever. hahaha.
