that scared feeling before you have a fight? I'm not about to get into a fight nor have I ever been in one but whenever someone's about to have a fight or something around me, my heart starts beating really fast. Is there a way to confront this and overcome it? I mean, when I'm sparring in the ring doing MMA I don't get that feeling, it's when I'm on the street it happens.

What helps me: Assume the worst. Accept the fact that you or someone else could very easily die in a violent confrontation.

The key here is ACCEPT. "If I die, so I'm dead." The fear results from trying to bury those nasty thoughts.

Its normal Fight or Flight response. What you are feeling is a surge in your adrenaline levels which would make you stronger if you wish to fight and much faster if you wish to run.

The best way is to continue to take your MMA more seriously so that you will know how to handle yourself in every situation and thus you won't feel that adrenaline rush so much.

Thats what I was wondering to myself. Is this FEAR? or is it ADRENALINE? Because I everytime it has happened it wasnt something directed towards me, it was other peoples altercations. But just being there gave me that feeling. I don't feel scared and my mind is usually blank when it happens.

It is the feeling that makes hooligans fight as often as posible. The dangerous it is the stronger the feeling. Fight away. Forza Dinamo!

To me it just feels like a state of shock. Like your heart is screamin what's gonna happen? what's gonna happen? The first though that came to my mind is that it's probably some subconcious feeling of fear that arises in those moments. But it seems that it isn't.

Nothing serious. Cops only been involved a couple times.

I've never thought of it as a scared feeling, more the opposite.

My mind does not ask what will happen, it clears it completley and tells me what will happen. Me beating the other guy.
