The thing about infrastructure is you never fully understand it from studying architecture on a whiteboard. You have to apply it by building or using that type of infrastructure when solving a problem in the real world. If you have an old repository, I would suggest on implementing one the databases you talked in class or at least think about how you would implement it.
Yeah that'd be a fun project. I like how our teacher actually talks about Real World Applications this semester as well.

For the ones your having issues with get a tutor. One of the main points of college is to learn how you learn best. You need to be in the moment and digesting information thats not necessarilly your preference. Its a good skill to have. Learn how to be in the moment and focus. Apply time and resources to achieve objectives.
I agree. Also, you're the third person that has told me to get a tutor. I'm gonna get on that whenever I swing by the library tomorrow.

Location
Eastern Time Zone where it's always really late
Coffee, adderall.

Also personally I've found if I go to bed early and get up really early and give myself several hours before I go off to work I do some of my best work.
^This. Go home, get some sleep in and start very early in the morning.

I don’t do all-nighters for work anymore. Go to bed at 5pm to 7pm the evening before, then get up at 2, 3, 4 in the morning as necessary and work then.

I once went to bed at 5pm, got up at midnight, worked at home for six plus hours, then went into work at 7am for a full day.
