I have been dating this girl for quite a while now. She lives an hour away and we don't get to see each other much, but we talk every day. I was wondering is there any way to make her miss me more so than she does. Should I cut off talking for a day or so? Is there anything else i can say or do to make her want to come visit more often??

Does she even miss you at all? If she does, then why the worry?
If she doesn't, then she is not that into you to begin with, so why put in so much work in trying to manipulate the situation.
All you can do is to make your time together memorable and hard to get away from. If she doesn't want you to leave and spend time away, then you have a different challenge to tackle.
Shouldn't she already be eager to go visit you? Is it logistically possible/reasonable for her to go see you more often? Is she the one that always visits you? Are you the one only visiting her? You don't give much detail.

I've been sent text messages in the past like "I miss you <3" but we don't see each other as much as we used to. Hell for a while we saw each other every weekend. Now its once every other weekend...if that. And a lot of the time i am the one wanting to hang out. Maybe she isn't interested...but its odd because she says "Love you" which i understand are just words...but its really hard to tell...especially when we're together. I'll try to stop talking to her for a day or so...(how long should i go for..until she contacts me?)

Dont just cut contact for a day. Do it for a few days. Be busy with your own life, and put her on the backburner for a few.

you cant take away "cut contact" and make the girl miss you until she actually likes you.
what you wanna do is work on your life okay, so start doing cool things and talk about them on the phone or through text "had the most amazing day today.."
also your facebook, add female friends, just getting a couple girls to post on your wall and to say lets hangout soon will get her too be all protective of her man
you dont wanna cut contact cos she will just assume u are still beta or whatever youve done to lower your value. instead keep same amount of contact but instead talk about fun things you've been doing, dont ask too many questions about her life either for a couple of phone conversations.
then seeing you are having fun she will be more inclined to want to be apart of that.

Yea this is a long distance thing. She used to come over every weekend and vice versa. but now it seems we see each other twice a month. She also used to tell me every time we talked how much she loved me. Then we took a break because we both had some work to do. Now that we're back together....idk it just seems different...she just doesn't seem as attached as she once was.
