if it helps, i just finished a similar problem. a girl i was going out with got quite attached to me, then after a while i realized it wouldn't go very far because it wasn't really working. i was kind of worried about the whole crying thing, but i broke up with her anyway. after i did, she simply said she too was starting to feel that it wouldn't work.

put simply, don't worry too much. it might work out just fine.

I am in a similar situation right now...

The thing about my situation was that, I made such a big deal about us getting together.

And when we finally did, it turns out that she is growing way too attached to me. And I don't know if I want to break up with her yet. But I might in the near future.

It just seems really bad, because I was the one who persisted that we go out even though there were socail obstacles to begin with. I told her to over-look it. And now I am the one who wants to end it

look, I have a friend who's been goin out with a girl for three years. For the past year and a half he's been trying to break up with her. Well, I wouldn't say he's been *trying*...... just wishing.... for the past 6 months they've barely seen or talked to each other. But every time he tries to break up with her he can't stand to see her upset so he chickens out...... the result? both he and the girl are miserable as ****......

(of course, on the alternative, and interesting experiment would be if you become a TOTAL AFC, called her eight times an hour, kept hanging on her, etc etc..... she'd prolly break up with her...... of course then people say "no she's the type of girl who would love that"..... these are teh same people who say "no girl likes a jerk"...... I'm pretty sure it would work in distancing her from you...... but I still recommend using your balls)

i had the exact same problem

bbuuuttt i dealt with it in a decent enough way...

this is how i did that shiot

ok...i beat around the bush a couple of day's kinda bein an ass not really paying attention to her pretending my mind was somehwere else.....then when she started asking about it...i went into the whole i odn't want a relationship right now...and then went from there saying how i was confused and what not...then i was like well i'm going home...blah....she calls me after i've beenhome a little...and asks "so does this mean we're broken up?" ...i go yeah....she says ok....and i say bye

i don't think i could have worked it smoother...that was better than i hoped

now more recently i got a girl to break up with me just by pissing her off.....she was a smoker and i hassled her about that...i was a "jerk"....and she just called me up lsat night and asked for a "break" when i told her i was gonna hang out with my friends that night and not her.....sooo i was happy to agree with this....kinda mad cause i didnt' have a girl lined up but oooh well...it's still all good
