How did they become guru's?

There seems to be only a few names people really look up to in this community, and they're the big boys who are seen as the guru's who have all the answers.

How the hell did they get into that position? And they're all mainly based in the US aren't they? How did they get their names so popular?

Just curious because i'm not sure if the UK has much to offer in the guru department. Unless they're in hiding? you know us british folk. So reserved

David Dangelo, Mystery, Ross jeffries, Tyler Durden, and the rest of the clowns are not gurus so stop refering to them like that. THey wrote a book, a CD and were the foundation of dating advice forums like this one ie mASF. THe only reason theyre popular is becuase they have credibility, they supposedly pull lots of chicks.

But Ill tell you right now, theyre not masters of women, theyre masters of playing the numbers game. Anyone who plays the numbers game will pull lots of chicks, especially one who has mastered it. David Dangelo actually has no credibility, no one knows how many women hes been with, all we know about him is that his ideas sell very well and mystify alot of people, hes just a salesman, not a guru.

Its not the messenger that counts, but the message. David D may not be amazing with the ladies, as some people like to believe, but what he says is pretty spot-on. Everything I've heard from him, I've liked. I don't really care if he's a virgin! He's helped me become a better man.

Because guys are too fvcking lazy to do the legwork it takes to be proficient with women. These "gurus" are able to sell thier snake oil to the wayward because they have an endless supply of dupes willing to pony up the cash.

They hope for a miracle or magick spell.

Yep, thats what frustrates me. Some people look at these guys as Gods, and there names get thrown out way too many times as references.

Some of their advice is sound. I just dnt see why they should get all the praise.

Aw well. It is just a say what sells game. They've made their money.

What I don't get is why there's a backlash from everyone here against the people who basically INVENTED the game as it's played today. My guess is nobody here has read Mystery, or TD, or anybody from ASF's archives.

The stuff they write isn't "snake oil". It was developed, in EVERY CASE, by guys in the field who worked REALLY hard at it. If you try it enough, you'll find that it ALL WORKS. They deserve some praise for persistence and for sharing it with the crabs who would eventually turn on them.

You're as wrong as the day is long. It is snake oil. It's a means to an end. The end being a fat wallet with disgruntled customers nipping at your toes.

And if you're going to quote me do it correctly. I am referring to that worthless cvnt Deangelo. Mystery, Badboy, Tyler Durden (as innocuous as he may be), Swingcat to name a few have proven they can pick up women with thier "skills" and playbooks.

Deangelo cannot and never will.

I'm not sure what you're saying..that David DeAngelo's stuff doesn't work, or that he can't get laid using it? Because both are wrong.

The snake oil analogy is false because snake oil refers to a trick or gimmick that doesn't work, whereas all the writings and products of these guys actually do work. They're making money, sure, but they're also, for the most part, selling quality products.

When the fvck has he ever used his own information to pick up women? He is spending your dollars taking b!tches out. Does he have any pics of him out with women? No. Does he have any videos out in the field practicing what he preaches? No. Is he thanking his lucky stars for you guys buying his rehashed bullsh!t over and over again? YES.

I don't lump him in with guys like Mystery or Badboy who have proven thier skills out in the field.

You know what they say about those who ASS-U-ME? I have read the literature and watched the videos. That's the trick to pick out that which I've found to work and discard the rest.

Presumably he used his method, which is really nothing more than ****y and funny, to get laid before he has all the money, and I would venture to guess it's still working for him, since C&F is a highly effective tool. I've read reports of him two or three years ago working in the field, and what I read said he was very sharp.

Anyway, regardless of what method he uses, the style he developed is highly effective, and that's why he's a guru.
