I know the site has a lot of content now so this could be very time consuming but I feel the current style isn't very refined. As the whole DJ thing is about refining outselves and improving our techniques I feel the front-page feel of the site lets it down when you first visit.

After a while you get used to it and even grow to like the simple layout but I think something a little cleaner could remain easily readable but also more professional and in keeping with the 'suave' nature of the DJ philosophy.

Perhaps some other thoughts on the design would be interesting?

personally i like better practical site design. I love these colors and layouts here. Don't change them.

Wouldn't have to take longer to load. If anything the current design with its tiled background could take slightly longer. I especially think the main page is a bit weak. I think the navigation that appears on the other pages should be on the main page and the explanation of the sections should be made in a single column like an article or sorts.

Anyway, I'm not really complaining too much, it's the content that I come for, I just know the first time I came to the site I wasn't very impressed, some people are more fickle than me, might not delve deeper or something.

I've been working on a redesign for months. Hired a couple people to redesign the site for me (cost a lot of money), but haven't found anything I really like yet.

Of course when I eventually do come up with a design I like, that I think totally kicks butt, I'm sure everyone will complain and say "change it back."

I'm with a redisign, the front page and its links doesnt look good for a first time visitor, of course its the content that counts but a new nice design would be great, also to organise the links on the front page in columns and sectors instead of having them lying around randomly.

IMPROVE

If there's room for improvement, improve!

"leave it the way it is" is the worst advice you could give
