I haven't done farmer walks in years, and I tried it again. I recently did laps of 45lbs x2 then 55lb x2 and I felt soreness from muscle groups I haven't felt in a long time.
I think I'm going to start doing farmer walks and weighted vest hikes more now, I am convinced they are one of the most effective ways to build strength/stamina, and grip strength which is highly correlated with overall fitness/health. When I was at my biggest years ago, I did farmer walks almost every day.
