Hey fellas, you remember Kevin Sorbo, right? The guy who played Hercules back in the day? He's stepping up to the plate with something that might catch your attention. Sorbo's concerned there's a serious lack of what he calls "manly men" in Hollywood. And it's not just about the movies or shows you're streaming; it's about the message it sends to all of us about what it means to be a man.

Times change and that's cool, but Sorbo's making the point that having a balanced view of manliness matters—not just on screen, but in life.

I've seen it, not sure the younger bucks see it as clearly as someone born in the 70's can, but it's there and real.

Fack balanced, they're trying to move the slider on what masculinity means, and given it's being done by those WHO ARE DECIDEDLY NOT MASCULINE...anyway here's the article...

Kevin Sorbo has been willing to speak out on masculinity and against the woke/progressive bs for quite awhile. Props to him for speaking out in the past and now regardless of impact on his career. Definitely an actor who has earned my respect in this regard where so many have stayed silent or towed the line.

Manly men aren't the problem, it's writers and directors.

It's no mistake Starbuck and Boomer went from a white dude and a black guy to

a blonde dyke and an Asian girl. They've been programming us for a looong time.

Neither character plays a lesbian or is one IRL.
And both are depicted as having heterosexual sex in the show and being very submissive.

Personally, I find a chick that intimidates other men damn sexy.

I'd tap both new BSG Boomer and Starbuck and make them my sex kittens.

But then again, a young Carrie Ann Moss is extremely sackable.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I see the girl power stuff being inserted everywhere; it's rampant and so common it's cliché.

It's my belief that Peter Jackson probably did easily one of the best book-to-movie transitions ever with LOTR. Still, he had to betray Tolkien to insert a female elven ranger that didn't exist to appease the powers that be.

I choose to fight fights that have any chance of being won. The wave of power chicks everywhere in everything is still cresting, but we are starting to see the beginnings of women turning back to traditional masculinity every day. I wish I were 15 years younger. I could. I could really reap some serious benefits from the boomerang effect that's coming.

As it is, I have been dating more and more women that I know espouse the chick power mantra but certainly keep it under wraps around me. They reserve it for younger men in their age group or weaker men. Women instinctively know when a man cannot be cajoled into their BS, and they tend to react to it, even when feigning outrage.

I've had heated discussions about socio-sexual dynamics with some of my lovers, like heated. I end up teasing them usually, whereas two minutes previous, it was borderline shouting; I grab them, tickle them, and say, "You're being a brat," play wrestle for 5 seconds, and then shove my hands up their skirts or in their pants, and they're SOAKING WET. That usually devolves into me sticking my fingers in their mouth and kissing them or me simply tearing their bottoms off and pounding them into a shivering pile of sexual fluids.

If you're given lemons, make lemonade.

"Strong" women want to be dominated by the right man; the question is - are you the right man?

I don't understand how you can't see it.

Isn't he a bigot and hates everyone who isn't an Evangelical Christian? Not a big fan of the Jews or Arabs either.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

Making these women a lot less hot by association. You can dress up a 304, but she won't become classy.

Christian values have been publically flogged for a long time to the point where masculinity and Christianity are somewhat pieces of a whole, it's a bit interesting to see

Are you talking about Tauriel in The Hobbit? Jackson did do a good job with LOTR (although I have a few quibbles with it). But I thought he missed the mark with The Hobbit. Probably not all is fault, I think the studio made him stretch it out into three movies, which was a mistake.

Anyway, you're right. Hollywood is really pushing the female action stars at the expense of the men. The women have to be the strongest, the smartest, or the center of attention more now, and if there is a traditional male star that breaks the laws of wokeism. Disney is especially bad about this, right now they're pushing The Marvels, which is a dud at the box office. But it doesn't seem to matter that the formula fails. the more it fails, the more they push it. Seems to be about something other than money.

And I agree women will instinctively reject that stuff in the presence of the right man.

This movie is an excellent example of a hard chick done right. She comes across as a biker chick and at one point she complains about being a 'hero' and says that she's tired of that bs life. The thing about Roger Corman's 80's B movies is they still had really well written, believable tough guy characters. He and his actors obviously spent a lot of time around bikers and ex-military because the actors are spot on with how they act. This is a good movie about a bunch of ex-military guys that act like parents... and the chick who hates kids lol. The full movie is on YT btw.

Ice Pirates is a good example of chicks looking tough without being arrogant pricks. This movie was funny without being silly. The characters are still believably written. Somewhere along the line, writers stopped making male action heroes men and instead replaced them with nice guy caricatures and guys who have no self-preservation at all. The grittiness of the 70's and 80's was wiped away in favor of Disney-esque men in every single movie. You don't see chicks in old movies being the instigators whereas today, they're almost always the sassy protagonists with a heavy backstory. Not every character needs a mile-long backstory. Also if you don't show your male lead as a tough guy, alpha, its unbelievable that a tough female is going to follow his lead. In this case, Jason is a womanizing Robin Hood type, he's the leader and none of this is ever debated. He treats his crew well and naturally, the women deffer to him. There is no sass talk or arguments from anyone except the princess, which is to be expected because that's how her character would act... like a spoiled b1tch.

You also will NEVER see men hurting women, especially a hero character in new media. It has to be another woman and they're always on equal footing.

The new rules for movies totally take me out of the movie experience. No female violence, females always have to be shown being tough sh1t. Only females can kill other females. Every girl is a ninja. No man is allowed to talk back to women ever, not even as a co-star. EVERY SINGLE VIDEO GAME has a woman in charge of the intelligence or giving the orders or the battle commander.

Also, villains are no longer scary. Because the Hollywood machine hates men so much, they can never make them too evil.. They always have to be some big tough guy as they equate muscles with manliness now. It's pretty easy to write evil characters but you're also not allowed to show leftist characters getting sh1t on... at all. Everything is formal, violence, rebellion. There isn't any room left for humanity. The main villain here sends them to get castrated.

You don't have decent male characters anymore because feminists don't understand men, they only know themselves, so they insert pieces of themselves into every character: Anger, Resentment, Sass. You'll never see older male characters in movies anymore written as jolly, fun, self-assured dudes. Old now equals wise or crotchety and powerless. Men are not allowed to be wise-asses anymore. This is the 80's movie magic, well-written characters, not CGI, not HDMI but believable, multi-dimensional characters. This conversation is only possible between two men. A woman changes the dynamic. A loveable kidnapper is only possible from a man with legitimate male charm.

Even skinny street punks can be legitimate threats when men are well written. Skill, not size, becomes the defining factor in interactions. This is something feminist women can't write. They've been taught that skill is just a construct and that anyone can do anything if they feel like they can. That's why you have big burly butches instead of competent skilled fighters. Men know when they are outclassed. Jack Burton doesn't suddenly challenge and beat a competent street thug. He backs up because he's overwhelmed. This is realistic. A modern female author would try and show a woman struggling but giving some effort. A punch, ninja kick, etc... men know when to back down. The tension in this scene comes from the fact that the villains in this movie are legitimately scary and competent.

The one I tend to think about when it comes to this sort of thing is Chloe Grace Moretz in Kick-Ass. It isn't realistic, and she's only like 14, but it's just so much fun that she's this highly skilled, bloodthirsty killer hero.

I agree with kevin maybe not religion wise but movie wise hell yeah from mid 1990s till now huge difference!

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.
