Well, I don't do anything with my life at all, just sit around moping, so I need to find a hobby to do.

I wanted to know what hobbies and activites are you guys into, and what ones do you recommend to me?

Looks like I'm joining a gym, but that's a no-brainer. I need a solid hobby, and I can't think of anything. It's kinda hard to believe, but I just don't like to do anything. I could force myself to do something, but I actually want to have fun doing it, since I'm trying to improve my attitude. I'm searching for someone very unique, yet respectable and interesting (not generic things like sports, biking, etc.) It'd also be really nice if it was coed, I would want to work on DJ'ing while doing it. Not having to be dedicated to it (not having to be there; just can do it whenever I want) would be nice.

I thought about dancing, geocaching, or any fighting art (fencing and kendo seem interesting). I'm not into dance that much, well unless it was breakdancing, but then, how many breakdancing groups do you know? Geocaching is kind of a solo sport, and martial arts tends to not be as coed as I wanted, plus I don't like how I'd have to be dedicated.

Any ideas?

Bodybuilding is a solid hobby. Once you build up a good base, 2-3 hours a day 3-4 times a week is easy and man do you start looking like a pimp when your muscles start tearing the sleeves in your shirts. It might take you 6 months to a year to start filling out but man, this is a great hobby.

Dancing is a fun hobby. Surfing, skiing, snowboarding. Art. Making Music Beats with programs like Fruity Loops. Repair cars. Learn how to take apart an alarm clock and put it back together. Then try a computer. Then a TV!

Yeah, I play football, so I already have the body down pat, that's why I already have that in the bag.

I skydive...fun as sh1t and the chicks love it (though it's pricey). Umm...pick up an instrument: piano, guitar, sax, harmonica, bassoon, anything. Carpentry. Sh1t there's a million hobbies to pick up, browse Amazon.com's book genres to get some more ideas.

If you're into music, try the guitar. It's addictive as hell especially in the first few months. I've been playing for a year and I still play/practice 3 hours a day.

Good ones!

I'm just starting to get into cooking (tough because I'm at work five evenings a week) but would LOVE to learn how to "fix" stuff.

Problem is, I live in an apartment. Ain't much to fix. Maybe my car? The toilet won't turn off, either... :)

I'm in much the same boat.
Used to surf, beach-kites, etc but since moving away from the coast I can't do these anymore, so I am kinda stuck! Would love to water-ski/wakeboard, but can't afford a boat+fuel!

I'll add cooking to the list, that would be quite useful for DJ'ing. I don't have the patience for it though.

I've recently taken up playing Golf.. on my mobile phone. Very addictive, and I'm getting rather good. :)

How about a musical instrument? I started learning the Saxophone a few years back. A very sexy instrument and doesn't take that long to get quite good. It's more impressive than playing the guitar (come on.. everyone plays the guitar!) and is very unique.

You can even buy pocket Saxophones called Xaphoons which you can carry about with you and play anywhere you go if you're mission is to impress the ladies. Might take a bit of mastering though. ;)

Just a thought!

Xaphoon? Looks pretty cool.

Yeah, I play trombone, not excactly the most respected instrument. I'm not interested in any other instruments either, except for maybe violin, and that's not a well respected instrument either.

My current hobbies are Soccer (football), Boxing and Poker.

Skydiving is overrated, and I would hardly call that a hobby, unless you do it consistantly every single week, and that would cost an arm and a leg!

Come to think of it, I watched a documentary the other day about a guy named Jed, a basejumper, very interesting documentary! Would be an incredible sport to do, but I dont think I could take that risk!

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

It's a shame that our society can't appreciate all types of music. The violin is one of the most emotive instruments there are. I believe that the majority of people nowadays don't truly like music. They just want something to dance to and party to.

It is if you play the violin in the Budapest Symphony Orchestra.

Seriously guys, stop using these silly tricks like playing a guitar to pick up. Tricks don't last you to the bed.

I think I will join a political party this week. I really enjoy politics.

I'm sure it will largely extend my social circle, and also my social skills, so it will be fun and also rewarding in terms of improving your speech and overall as a DJ.

Also most youth organisations from my country make periodical trips, parties etc.

Could be an interesting hobby, and also in time it could be more than just a hobby.

I respect the violin as an instrument alot, it's just that most others don't.

Right now, it seems that I have Salsa (DJ'ing purposes), Fencing (personal purposes), the gym (DJ'ing purposes), Geocaching (personal purposes), and possibly cooking even though I don't have the patience for it (DJ'ing purposes).

Any suggestions/critique?
