Yesterday I happened to sit next to a big black guy at the bar and I had brought a bottle of Scotch as a gift for the restaurant so I gave everyone a shot. He said he worked nearby as a physical trainer and I thought to myself... "My 21 year old hasn't written since last week... I need to do this if I want to keep her". So at 6:45am I had my first real workout of my life basically. This guy is good. $60 an hour basically. I'm going to start with 2 days per week.

I'm currently 18% body fat, 40 inch chest, 37 inch waist. Hoping to get to 15/42/33. I can curl 50 and am hoping to curl 70.

As he was pushing me to get 18, 19, 20 reps (on exercises I never heard of, with added weight) I just kept thinking of that photo of hers that rated 99%. I prayed and thanked God for a chance at her, and I know I better do everything I can.

I showed up at 6:45 and handed him a photo of her. I said this is my goal - to not get dumped by her.

I agree with Spinach.

Kill the weights because you want to look and feel better not because you don't want some chick to drop you.

I find that disturbingly sad reason to work on ones own well being, but hey what ever works for you......
If you finally land your favorite girl, after a 45 state journey, and she's 25 years your junior, you find it "disturbingly sad" to work out to keep her (and similar girls)? Why are you here on SS?

See Kevin Spacey lifting weights in American Beauty.

Strength doesn't equal size. There is tons of variations you can do at 50lbs to add mass to arms and look cut. I curl 60's for 10 reps. but honestly I found I do better with 50's and lower because you can really focus on the contraction and the negative back down. We're about the same build except in about 6'3", 48inch chest, and 36 inch waist, and 18.5" biceps. The higher weight I use on curls 60/65's, I get a burning tightness in the outer tendons in the elbow. Just because you can lift it, doesn't mean you'll lift it good form wise.

Focus on form and a weight that allows you to get that form. I see guys hammer curling 70's at the gym and their form is terrible. They're getting no effect on their muscles.

Thought you said this chick was "just a friend", Neil?
In any case, I don't like to see any guy concerned about getting dumped.
I would reframe it as "I want to be my best".

Careful with the weights though, I know you eat well and stay relatively slim. Weights can give you a husky look. Not that I'm saying that's bad, but if you are doing well with your current look and body type...

I had my second workout this morning and we did legs.

He said my initial health rating score was a B+, which explains why 21 year old women do like me with no shirt on already. We're shooting for A+.

But here was the most awesome part about the workout - 3 things happened:

1) My lower abs were sore the next day (where I need to lose weight)
2) My lower jaw and neck were sore the next day (also where I need to lose weight)
3) A girl who knows me well and who is my confident told me I had terrible dark circles hours after the workout - but that's because it's a healing crisis - you work out all of the toxins in your body that are causing slight dark circles so for a time they get worse, and then you pee them out and now I don't have any dark circles.

Those are my 3 Achilles heels: belly, chin and dark circles - and I can see after one workout this will reduce all 3.

There are currently 6 girls in my text list.

The girls I dated last night, last week, last moon, last month, last year, and my last oneitis (from 5 years ago). I won't say which one is "just a friend".

First workout: Monday (dark circles got really bad)
Second workout: Thursday (dark circles totally gone)

Thursday date: getting ready I noticed my pants were 2 inches too loose now - practically overnight.
Thursday night - noticed my weight dropped from 230 to 222 practically overnight (equal to one gallon of water). I had been stuck in the 230-240 range for 4 years.
Date #4 with girl - when I told her I hired a physical trainer she said "You look healthier". I said "in what way?" and she said "You are glowing. Your hair, your eyes, and your skin are all radiant". She kissed me goodbye in an extremely passionate way last night. Previous kisses paled in comparison.

I am literally shocked at the fast results. I will do this for the rest of my life.

You probably followed some dietery tips from the trainer. Diet really is like 70-80% of the battle.

No, I did the opposite. I didn't take his supplements or recommendations regarding diet yet, but my diet is perfect already. I think what I'm seeing is the results of diet + (hard) exercise. I want to go back right now but it's two hours too early!

I can't wait to take my physical appearance to a new level. I've always been decent looking but not photogenic (6.5 range). On some days I'm treated like a 9, on others like a 5. This will finally give me control over that.

PM me for info on my trainer who is in the Buford, GA area.

Already down to 35 I think. I found you can drop the weight as fast as you gain it - overnight. Jean size is 36x34.

I went for my third workout and my waist size is 36" today.

I can already see how a beautiful girl who was on the fence for me is now over the fence just from 2.5 hours of work on my part.

I'm glad you're getting in shape.

However.. don't worry about "keeping" b!tches. These are the benefits of being in shape I've experienced:
  • Not getting sick much
  • Good for libido
  • More energy
  • Intimidates men who want to start sh!t
  • Good stress relief
  • Added sex appeal (of course)
Being in shape comes in handy when you least suspect it. Like when you're late and trying to catch a train/flight and you have to run with heavy sh!t non-stop for 10 minutes. There have been times when I said to myself: "I'd be screwed if I wasn't in shape".
