I've done this twice already...first time it was just a joke between a friend and I. I went along with it and actually pulled girls with little effort.

At a busy bar/club I was high fiving everyone that walked by...guy or girl. I would stick out my arm like i'm going to high five them and say "Hey! High five to current events!"

Now we don't care about picking up guys but high fiving everyone shows you are fun, outgoing and like to party. You actually have to be excited about doing this otherwise I'm pretty sure you will get rejected often. From MY experience, very little women won't high five you. 1/3 will just high five you. 1/3 will high five you and ask you to repeat what you said. The other 1/3 will actually stop and talk to you.

Example:

me: Hey! High five to current events!
her: What?
me: High five to current events!
*high five eachother*
her: What kind of current events?
me: (being from wisconsin) Packers are 12-0! Wisconsin is in the Rose Bowl! And me finding out what your name is! What's your name?

I've only done this with bars/clubs that are busy and have constant traffic in an area of the bar/club. Your attitude has to be right. I've pulled girls for myself as well as girls for my friends as they will chime in when I start with that opener. I never had a girl really judge me and in fact most seem to think it's interesting. It's so stupid it works. Try it.

I could see this being a rather effective strategy. Thanks for the tip, brother.

Telling you...just try it. Then come back here and describe what happened. Make sure you have a good vibe and don't be awkward. Sh*t I'd almost say not for the beginner DJ because I feel newbies don't have the proper body language/mindset for something like this.

one more thing to add:

The type of club/bar I was at when doing this was a rather large venue. One room had a dance floor and the other was just seating, bars being in both rooms. This was not your standard club where everyone dresses up and uses mommy and daddys money to get VIP. Think more along the lines of a "country style bar" and age ranged from 21-32.

So think about what's going on in your town or state and start to high five people to current events!
