You nor me is really in a position to say what hip-hop is. But one it clearly is entertainment. Those lyrics above are indeed raw skill, creative and original. However rappers that spit lyrical content of that type record those songs to enlighten an audience whether on record or in concert, hence its still entertainment. People buy records and go to concerts to be stimulated and entertained for the duration.
