I said fug it and tried the mybestestestface for the hell of it using quick bathroom pics no less. Lowest score was 62 highest 67. With six pictures I'd stayed rounded to a 65. One 64 and the other three 65. I found it hilarious the one picture I had from Italy with me and this hot azz chick pressing up against my cheek smiling wide whom I'd met out at night no one "liked". LMAO.

Got decent scores and picks from a few 19 year olds even though my age was listed correctly at 43.

I still don't buy the scoring thing as it just gives you pics of different people and you choose which one you'd "date" so it depends on who you're "competition" is and they may pick someone not as attractive, older etc. if they think you look like a "douche" most likely because I'd just thrown up bathroom pics and one pic out at night with a hot chick.

It seems ok to kindof judge which pics you should use especially if you use outdoor activity pics..though even then people "score" far away outdoor pics on a beach or rock climbing on there higher than a close up of someone who looks pretty damn good. As if a far away person climbing rocks would look "hot" across the table from you.

It was pretty funny to do it for the hell of it purposely using bathroom pics. (Didn't use ab shots or shirtless) just quick tee shirt pics.

checked it quick then just deleted it as it sets you up an account for activation on OkCupid and I'm not interested in wasting time on there as that site was slow as all hell for me when I'd tried it before and deleted my account in two days several months ago.

Interesting thing the mybestface is to do quickly if you have some spare time for the hell of it though.

Yeah, I've seen people say that you should run your pics through the
gauntlet multiple times to get a more accurate rating.
Sort of like tournament for pictures.
And even then, you would still have to balance the statistics yourself....

That's a silly knee-jerk emotional response. No matter what a dude looks like, some chicks will like his profile enough to respond to him. I mean yeah if you were run over by a tank or something and people can't stand to look at you without puking, then you're going to have some difficulty.

If you're not handsome you'll have to be way more aggressive, but to say that unless you're great looking online dating should be avoided is childish.

I'm completely average or below-average looking, and shorter and skinnier than average, and I've been doing it for over 10 years with decent success. Chicks have said that I'm "skinnyfat" and that I look like a cross between John Cryer and Alfred E. Neuman. I'm also pale and freckled all over my arms with a terrible farmer tan. I cut my own hair and haven't bought new clothes in years. Many of them are literally falling apart. Plus these days I couch-surf (ie., I'm homeless). I joined a gym not to work out but to have a place to shower. I wear the same pair of worn out flip-flops everywhere and women tell me my feet stink. I have no money and I'm up to my eyeballs in debt. Doesn't stop me at all, I just lie about it. I banged two chicks while I was living in my car back in 2003. One in my cousin's bed while she was away and one on the floor of an office that I said was my dad's but was really just an open door I found in a building near where I was living in my car.

No I haven't banged 1600 chicks, but I've banged my share and have had some good relps in there too. And multidated like a motherf*cker.

It couldn't hurt but I personally wouldn't waste my time doing that. The mybestface seems to only determine how your one pic rates against another persons pic (not against say all people who use beach pics/ activity etc.). If the other person isn't as attractive or whatever pictures you use are rated against less "attractive" pics IE: looks, lighting, place they were taken (close up on a mountain vs. far away on a beach: who likes the beach better than the mountains even though the person in the beach pic is far away), some hot chick/dude next to you or some chick people may click on the other pic just because.

Or you could be matched up with competition with worse pics than you who look better and you'd get scored crap and think it was your pics even if they were really good when it boiled down to your looks.

Most chicks on that site love to act as if they've discussed life with the Dali Lhama and or had tea with Ghandi. Same fluff but a higher level than POF.

Still it's amusing to try and again probably wouldn't hurt to use the best rated pics you have even if you thought others you used were better. You can always change pics up.

You in a way have to take that "rating system" with a grain of salt. I had several 19 yos rating my pics pretty good and "picking" me over other dudes but I'm not out of my mind to believe those chicks would jump at the chance to "date" me due to picking my picture over a 60 yo out of shape dude.

You only need two pics to run a report, but you'll want to put up more to see how they fare relatively.

@Ninja I'm almost certain your scores took a substantial hit for "douchebag status", based on how I perceive the women of OKC to be.

I think OKC and POF need to be played differently.

Look, NN's or any other "fun" or "entertaining" openers will do NOTHING but open the girl. Period. It won't seal the deal. No amount of "chat game" will seal the deal either. If you're not very attractive to her, she sees you only as a fleeting source entertainment. You can't be entertaining 24/7. And why should you be someone's plaything like that? I find it demeaning and downright embarrassing, especially when you're dealing with trash online.

Yes entertaining openers will get the initial attention. But it won't keep it if you're not hot. And yes, you can still have trouble with online dating if you're hot and give boring openers. Is that proof that online dating isn't all about looks? Yes and no, but mostly no. Attractive women get 70-100 messages a day and you need something to get their attention for more than a few seconds so that they can see you are hot. Being hot is irrelevant if they don't even notice you first because your opener is "hi".

I wouldn't doubt it. And I do think for the most part they would need to be played differently.

Good thing they don't have a voice rating system. I've been told I have a very distinct and strong NY accent. The "douche" aura would be in full effect if matched with my pics. LMAO.

It wouldn't matter to me regardless. They wouldn't know me from a can of paint. It's one thing for chicks to "claim" they want and "like" in public. Totally different when in private email, chat, phone convos etc.

I'd advise dudes to just try the feature out for the heck of it and try OkCupid itself. It can't hurt at all if you make it work for you and have several chicks numbers, meets etc. so you don't rely on one chicks "approval" in real life.

An extra suppliment but not the end all be all.

You have to play the numbers game, while using your best pictures, a good opener that gets the most positive replies and go for a number within the MAXIMUM of seven emails earliest at three.

Chicks get bombarded. Which is why you have to strike quick and have a plan to meet BEFORE you call. Once you get the hang of it you start getting more and more numbers. Now once you start getting those numbers...IF you never expected to get any or as many as you did....you have to decide if you are going to meet them or not...and within a short period of time or else all the other white noise and "hotter boys" will have them forget you.

It's one thing trying POF OkCupid and not expecting anything..but if you are serious about meeting these chicks. You have to be ready to actually MEET them once the numbers start rolling in.

If not. Just consider it an experiment in learning what makes chicks tick and how to BS with them. Practice.

Then when you feel confident enough to meet them (have your own place whatever) then you already know what to do.

I hate to come off negative but for online chicks IMO I wouldn't try to wife any of them up. The pull of the bigger better deal is always out there and the online dating scene for the most part is chicks who even if HOT have a lot of issues. No matter how "cool" they may seem at first.

Use online dating as a suppliment and learning tool. Then as you get more confident and used to BSing etc with chicks. Meet real chicks or keep meeting real life chicks and go for those you make a solid connection with.

The odds of meeting/dating low quality, issues, slvts is extremely high online. It's pretty much a magnet for mental cases (pretty much the net period if you think about it.) No joke.

80 is WAY too high! If you can score an 80 on a pic - you can have almost free selection of any woman you want on there (with that picture).

Anything over 65 is fine if that's all you can get.

I prefer to put up pics over 70. Which in all my time - only 3 of my pics can pull (1 headshot, 1 body shot without a shirt, and 1 body shot with a shirt). So what I do is - put up the shirtless pic and the face pic, and if a girl asks for another pic - i send the full body with a shirt on pic. If she asks for more - i tell her she's going to have to come take them herself!)

I have some insights into how it works if people care. I believe there is "evidence" in them using a weighed score. I've seen pictures get high scores that didn't seem to be more picked than other pictures. And I've seen pictures get bad scores that were picked by what seemed like a lot of women.

A good photo will consistently be able to pull above your bad photos. My best photos always get good scores when I retry them. There's a lot going on besides them just putting you against other people.

They put you against other people, and if you beat someone who didn't get very many other votes - you don't get much of a score from that. If you beat someone who got a lot of votes - you get more score....


Let's say on:
a) one of your photos is shown to 20 women, and 7 of them pick it over other guys pictures.
b) one of your photos is shown to 20 women, and 10 of them pick it over other guys pictures.

But let's say:
a) most of the 7 women who picked you chose you over guys who the system categorized as good photos (based on who they won against previously)
b) most of the women who picked you chose you over guys who the system categorized as having bad photos.

You will end up with a higher score in scenario a)!!!!

So if you think about it - it's not you picture vs. another guys picture. It's your picture vs. that other guys picture and all the pictures he's gone up against and all the pictures they've gone up against etc.

And if you keep getting beat - they'll put you against less and less good looking people.

Important part emphasized by me. Not all women care that much about looks. Chicks are much more varied in what turns them on than men.

So you keep at it, keep at it, keep at it. I've contacted thousands and thousands of chicks online over the past decade. I've banged ~35. It's an extremely low percentage game, at least for me. And I suspect everyone. Any guy who tells you that most of his openers are replied to is full of sh*t. But then again, it's free, and I have far more free time than money, so it's not a problem for me.

Maybe if I were more handsome it would be twice that; if I were way uglier it would be half that. I can never know.

That would be because it's actually your best picture! It's very rare that my best pics don't pull very good scores when I retry them.

I wouldn't settle for anything less than 70 if I were you though; especially if you want a good selection of decent looking women across a wide spectrum of types.
