Help with Birthday

So I've dated the girl for 5 months. I've been exclusive with her for only about a month. We are celebrating a belated birthday since I'm out of town over her birthday. From my other PDA post that old hag snitched to her dad so now we are on a rather short leash. I'm trying to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to do for her birthday. I was thinking about taking her out to dinner or something but I think dinner is awfully stupid and boring especially for two high schoolers. I'll save stuff like that for when I'm 25. We can't do anything fun though since I'm on bad terms with her parents. I want to spend a little bit of time with her though. I really don't give a rats ass about what we do. What do yall do for your girls B-day?


Also how do I go about gifts? I was just thinking stuffed animal and that's it. We have an inside joke about a giraffe so I was thinking about buying her a giraffe stuffed animal for the humor. This is the first relationship I've been though that I've ever had to worry about B-day. So I'm going to be running around blind.

Find out what her favorite kind of food is and cook her up a nice meal some night? prac a few times so you don't **** it up lol A) it's not that expensive to do B)shows you like learning new fun stuff (cooking rules!)

As for a gift get her a little cute card/something funny, no lovey dovey **** and maybe a gift card to her fav place to go for jewelry/clothes/shoes/makeup. It's thoughtful and when she buys something with it and wears/uses it most the time it'll have her think about you.

If she's the romantic type then see if you can invite her over to your place without your parents being there. Cook her favorite meal, then cuddle over a movie, and maybe set up some candles.

If she's adventurous tom boy type, then invite her to an event like lazer tag, or the zoo. Some cards and maybe some flowers, but DO NOT be sappy about it.

I have celebrate a my brother birthday so I have more help in his birth day party thus I have decorate a out room and made a cake for birthday.I have invitation a more guest and relatives and I have a prepaid more dinner.

I decided to go with like a $20-$30 bracelet or necklace. That or a homemade bookmark since she likes to read. I'm just scared I'll pick out something ugly. However anything I get her she should like.

I'm pretty sure that's why Carlito said to get her a gift card, because then she can pick out anything SHE wants.

Think about it, if it was your birthday, would you rather leave it to chance and have her get you a random movie, like say twilight (you hate twilight), or would you rather her get you a 25$ gift card to blockbuster so you could get any movie you want?

So I was talking one on one from somebody on this forum and he gave me great advice. Do something small but has meaning. So I'm going with my bookmark idea. It sounds stupid I know, but if she does not appreciate a homemade wooden bookmark then she is not worth my time and she can date an other guy that will buy her an ipod or something for her birthday. The bookmark will be filled with stuff with semintal value from the first few moments of our relationship. Like we met at this place called Rio so the words Rio will be at the top. I think she's really going to like it. I'm glad I'm going this route rather then the jewelery route.
