Help meeting people online

Ok, here's my sitiuation. I just found a girl i like on website called meet me. The problem however is that she seems quite popular and therefore i assume she gets lots of messages of guys already.

Therefore, i get the impression a generic opening like "Hey, how you doing?" wont get a response from her. To get her attention, i'm gonna need an opening thats abit more interesting.

So was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what i should say. Should i tell her from the off that i'm interested in her or just ask a random question or something else.

Here's a gem from Naughty Ninja. Spam it out. Wait for replys. Then drop the funny guy gimmick, ask how the sites treating them. When they reply tell them you're not on there much, that you don't have time, and tell them to give you theirnumber and you'll chat offline sometime. I've had countless chicks respond Ready to hand over their number from this. I think they're relieved to not be getting yet ANOTHER lame message in their inbox. In fact several respond back and basically say as much
