I want to learn something here.

There is a girl (woman) I work with. I always thought she was somewhat cute and she has even tossed me some signals along the way. Nothing in my face, but just a bit flirty. She is now in her early 30's and I learned recently that she has only been on one date in her entire life!

She seems friendly with everyone. She has a reputation as a flirt, but absolutely NOT a slut at all. She also comes across as somewhat phony, but not blatantly so.

She's clearly heterosexual and actually very feminine. There is absolutely nothing butch at all about her.

So..... what do you make of this? What's with the good-looking women who are obviously straight but make it to their early-mid Thirties still single?

Anyone have some insight?

Alrighty then. Can you be a bit more specific?

If she's reasonably attractive, in her early 30s, and even mildly flirtatious, I seriously doubt she's only been on one date her entire life. Do you really buy that?

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

I find it quite unlikely that an attractive 30ish lady have only been on ONE date in her life. Something does not add up. Are you sure that she is attractive? Maybe she has some issues...?

Who knows.

Ask her out and see how it goes.

Going out with co-workers is NOT a good idea. Let’s say it doesn’t work out, now she can do a lot of damage to you especially if it went bad. Rumors and jealousy if she was or potential boss will spread and lies will be told about you to everybody including your boss. It’s just not the smartest thing to do.

And you bought that?

Come on brotha.

Even if that is true that’s not a good thing. If she is attractive with out beer goggles then there just might be something wrong with her. There is always a good reason why these chicks aren’t married or haven’t been on a date in years in there mid thirties.

Riiight. And who’s telling you this again? The guys that are screwing her or her?

Anyways, that right there tells me what she doses with you is no different then what she does to the next guy or even girl.

Then she probably is so. Always follow your gut. Don’t be blinded by your pre mature Oneitis

She’s just a flirty possible slut office chick that just happens to somewhat flirts with you and now you’re hooked.

Best advice is to STAY AWAY from her!

She sounds nothing but trouble. If you like your job and need to pay bills I suggest you stay away from her.

My question is why the heck do you keep telling us she’s straight?

“She's clearly heterosexual and actually very feminine. There is absolutely nothing butch at all about her.”

“good-looking women who are obviously straight”

Is she dressing and talking like a lesbo or something? Just maybe she is…

Guys, I'm not kidding here. I've worked with her for over five years and her closest friends say it's true.

I said that because the obvious answer I expected to get was, "she's a lesbo! That's the answer!"

But she isn't. Trust me on this.

Maybe I didn't express myself well, or at least not thoroughly. She seems somewhat prudish or frigid. She is friendly with everyone, but she's kind of a "hands off!" type of girl. In other words, when she's kidding around with some guy, there is no grabbing his hands or anything like that. And again, she's very feminine. I would rate her at about a 6.0-6.5 or a 7.0-7.5 with makeup, and she could stand to lose about 40 pounds or so. So if I didn't explain it properly, sorry about that.

But no, I don't have any oneitis for her or anyone else.
