yeah, okay. So me and my friend (junior) have first period together. I'm a sophomore btw. The girl I personally like is also in first period w/ us. I sit in front of him, and next to her. My friend and I are funny kids, and we neg her a lot. I have this problem though. When I'm around my friends i typically take things too far. I feel like I neg her too much, and it kills attraction. I also feel like she thinks I'm weird. She looks at me sometimes, and while we're making eye contact I smile and wink at her. After I do this she laughs and calls me weird. Is that a good thing, or is she just joking w/ me? Homecoming is in 2 weeks, and I want to go, but i don't have a date atm.
How can I stop negging her all the time, and how should I go about the homecoming?

Just be like "nah, nah, you're actually pretty cool." Don't say you were "just kidding". After you say she's cool have a conversation with her.

You take it "too far" with things when you are with friends?

Because you want attention, to show people how cool you are, get 5 seconds of glory. Not good.

You are a **** to her, and try to project the ****y funny attitude... but then you come HERE and ask opinions on what she thinks about you, does she like you etc... deep down u know ur value is lower than hers (thats why u made this thread).. but you ACT as if its higher.

Weird = the INCONGRUENCY that I just described - and people esp. females can pick up on what's inside and whats outside you. If they don't match - you're "weird".

that it's because he really feels insecure next to her... but acts THE OPPOSITE way. And she wonders why he can't be more real/honest, at least with himself.

I think you're right. I have a problem w/ actually letting people get to know the real me. Of course all of my friends, and family know who I really am, but only 2 or 3 girls do. I am pretty insecure, but I don't know how to fix this. I am a good kid. I don't get in trouble, I don't drink, I don't smoke or do drugs. I make almost all A's. I just feel like I have to keep reassuring myself that I am a good kid. It's almost like I don't believe it myself. Why would I be afraid to show who I am if I truly believe that I am a good person? I want to learn how to DHV, and I want to learn how to rid myself of my insecurities.
