I think you're in with the majority of the people on the forum when you say that - for the most part, a lot of guys here aren't looking to become uber-DJ's... they just want to find a girl (or girls) to call their own. Your attitude is spot on about not caring; it might not happen tonight, or next week, or even next month - but if you aren't negative and instead are fun to be around, then it'll happen far sooner than later. There's a lot of good advice here but I don't like the list of small goals that somebody wrote.

Goals provide motivation. Also, his goals don't necessarily have to be geared toward dating women. Before I became much more social, I focussed on getting women. It was only because of my goal to score dates that I realized that I needed to do some repair to the social aspect of my life. I began setting goals for myself for becoming much more social in real life. When I landed myself a part-time job, one of the first things I did was go up to some guy who was working and initiated a conversation. After a while, I also set a goal for myself to initiate conversations with anybody new on the job.

This was a MAJOR help to my socially retarded personality.

Last Night

So anyway I went out, had a few drinks, and had a good time. I was on the dancefloor, dancing, smiling etc. I danced with one girl, held hands a bit, felt her body a bit (and she didn't spray me with mace), but there was no tongue action. It wasn't the best night ever but it was the best night I've had in a while. I will have to probably start approching girls in things like the street, work etc. I will have to change my attitude and thankfully last night, I didn't have the virgin inferority complex. I guess this will take a little time

Congratulation, Im proud of you, but I knew you could do it. You want out and had a positive attitude and you had a good time. You feel a little bit better, and as long as you hold on to that positve attitude you can feel like this everyday.
