Now that thats out of the way this was all really awful quicksilver and I'm sorry you had to see that crap.

Make sure you get yourself some counseling or therapy if you begin to re-live all this in a few days or months over and over again as what you have experienced can cause Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which is a condition that does not go away on its own.

Suggest the girl get therapy too if she starts experiencing it.

I'm not sure if this is true, but I have heard many times that media and police do not publish suicide stories because it encourages other attention seeking suicide cases to go through with it. And in Montreal (where I'm from), most subway suicides are not in the paper.
